    Solid video. Just as a note about your batteries, they are 98 watt hours, not 98 watts per hour. Could just be a mistake but the way you're saying it essentially implies that the battery has a 98 watt load, not that it can supply 98 watt hours of energy. Sorry for being picky lol. Cheers!

    Nanuk is my favorite case manufacturer. Everything provides really solid feedback. It's what's holding my Z Cam as well.
    Been really enjoying the F6. The usual staples in my camera rotation was the RED Scarlet, RED Gemini, RED Helium, and the BMCC. It's not contest anymore. I would only reach for my F6 and my buddy's Arri Alexa Plus. The F6 exceeds everything I've tested under $10,000 and trades blows with cameras at even higher price brackets.

    • @joenicklo
      @joenicklo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Those are some really strong cameras to hold against the F6 man. Careful. You might get some RED fanboys in your front yard with pitchforks and torches. ;)

    • @FTGTapGod
      @FTGTapGod 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joenicklo yeah they can be brutal lol. I do really enjoy the Gemini. I think that's the strongest camera in their whole lineup, but it's $30,000.
      I just recently got to test out the Komodo and was super disappointed with it against the F6. I've talked to a few people about that and it's definitely ruffled some feathers. The Komodo is growing it's own RED mob lmao.

    • @joenicklo
      @joenicklo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No lie, I very well might get the Komodo still.

    • @FTGTapGod
      @FTGTapGod 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joenicklo do it! Always in favor of people forming their own opinions. Would be a great comparison for the channel too.
      For me, having R3D is always nice, but I'm used to a ProRes workflow on the Alexa Plus anyways. And Global Shutter comes with it's own drawbacks like loss in DR and noise performance. The RF mount was also really such a poor choice. It isn't interchangeable and isn't locking which is really annoying when working with motors.
      It's really not a bad camera and I have physical differences I prefer on the Komodo, but the F6 just shines IMO. I think the S6 will be a much better comparison and you'll find them to compete a lot more closely. At a larger price gap however.

    It's interesting to see what you have in your kit. Good to have an ear noise protection! Often people forgot to protect themself.
    At 5:29 you show a gradient filter, what strength is it? Do you have a shoot you can reference where you have use it?
    Thanks!

    • @joenicklo
      @joenicklo  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wow, equipment sure has changed. I used to shoot drag races with an electric Hasselblad in the 70's until one day while driving home the lens on my glasses shattered. Vibrations from the cars, that was my last day. I bought the first 4x5 Sinar P in North America back then. those were the days when you could get pissed off at an art director and throw a nikon at him and hit a brick wall and the lens still worked.
