No, it is too hot and smokey. It is too dry to have a campfire right now so no camping. Just staying home harvesting the garden. But I am getting itchy feet to travel.
Chris how far are you from cypress hills but the area near maple creek? me and my buddy are heading up there sometime in september wanted to give you a heads up and maybe i could hook you into some of the Massive brookies and rainbows they got there!! noone else we see ever has luck and i always land big trophies!~! on the fly But im sure we could gimme rig something for you on the spin rod lol
Stan The Man! I live around 2.5hrs from the Park. Not to far really. I'd love to catch some big bows. I'd also be very interested in learning more about fly fishing iv never known anyone who could show me how! Sounds great. I have not been to Cypress Hills since I was a small child.
i think there is a few different areas and access to cypress because ive heard of areas ive never been to and i know there is an area in alberta. the one my friend lives at and ive gone to for years is about 4.5 hrs from calgary in sask and by maple creek! there are a bunch of wicked camp spots plus a hotel and what not. hopefully we are thinking of the same place! big bows are Cool but that ponds has some of the biggest brook trout i have ever seen and im from the land of wild brookies lol ill let you know when we have the plan made!
