How high did you set the camera when you filmed the soccer game? I just ordered the camera but I didn't order the super tall tripod, I already have a normal one and I was thinking of using that one.
Thanks. That’s a good question. My hunch is it could track a single object but it may be a little hit a miss given the speed and sudden directional changes of an RC car.
There’s a very different one I’ve reviewed years ago that might be similar to what you’re after. I can’t recall its name off the top of my head just now though.
@@RalphMayhewPhotography what sports setting would you use for rugby. I couldn't get it to track the match properly when I tried to record a few 7s matches. I tried soccer, lacrosse, and football.
Your video is really extensive. However, I have a question and I think you’ve missed this point: how does the phone connect to the device for video transmission? Through WiFi hotspot like GoPros do? Because it’s not possible to jam 4k through Bluetooth and my understanding is that the video is directly stored on your phone.
Can you pause recording with the remote (at half time, for example) and then resume later keeping it all as one file? Or would first half/second half be stored as separate files? Looking into this to record my kids' basketball games. BTW - best review I've seen so far, really appreciate seeing more of the app/set up process. Thanks!
@@RalphMayhewPhotography Awesome thanks for the honest feedback! I'm using mine 100% for ice hockey, its been MUCH better this year than last year. The tracking still can be a bit off at times so if this was going to be a substantial improvement i was going to upgrade. Again, thanks for the honest feedback! hard to find nowadays
What do you think of the new Chameleon?
Anyway I could get this video to my tv to break down film?
Sorry, I’m not sure what you’re asking.
@ can’t I somehow bring the footage in record up on my tv
@@soledoutreviewsyep. You could live stream it or you could share it from your computer or you could upload it to TH-cam to watch it on your tv.

I set it to about 2 meters. I reckon I could have gotten same results not as high.

Great review! What are your thoughts on using this gimble to track a remote control car for my channel? Any input much appreciated!!

@RalphMayhewPhotography good input. Thanks!
I like your video
Thanks!
I would like to have something like this for vlogging and I think that this would be a bit much. Great presentation Mate! Thanks!

How do you think it would do filming rugby matches?
Spot on. If you liked what you saw in the vid it’ll handle rugby.

I see you set the panning speed to arpund 75%. For an indoor 5 v5 soccer game, do you think it would need to be higher or lower?
I’d say higher because of the speed and movement of the game over a short distance.

It’s Bluetooth and the video is stored on the app on your phone.
How high was your tripod set up? what phone where you using to record please?
I thought I said. It was about 2.2 meters

You can’t pause. You can stop but it goes to two different files. Thanks.
is it worth it to upgrade to this if you already have the gimbal? does it track better with the lens or is it the same?
Nah not worth that shift. The tech is basically the same. Just the form is different.

Ice hockey … that’s awesome! My pleasure mate. I’m stoked it’s working out for you.
Can you videotape yourself riding your horse?
Yes but it would be helpful if you performed in the 180’degrees in front of it.
Better not use that with Apple AI. It would be like ghostbusters crossing the streams!
Bahahahahaha
