Tidbits of technical info were wonderful, thank you!
    A-10 Specs; (given as):
    Empty Wt. 24,959 Lb
    Aerobatic Wt. 30,384
    Wing Area 506ft^2
    Wing Loading 60 lb/ft^2
    Limit Load: 7-1/3 g
    Ultimate Load 11g.
Maneuvering speed (from video): "285" in Knots.
    285 x (6076/3600) = 481.01666...ft/sec.
    Dynamic Pressure (q): 0.5*(481.0666^2)* 0.0023772... (q) = 275
    275/7.333...g = 37.5
    60lb^ft2 wing loading divided by 37.5 = 1.60
Maximum lift coefficient of the A-10 airfoil at high speed: 1.60
    60/1.60 is of course 37.5, if (q)=37.5 then Velocity = 177.62 ft/sec.
Stall Speed** = 105.24 KTAS. Rotation speed given by Pilot as "110".
**(if airfoil generates similar lift coefficient at lower Reynolds and mach numbers).
Bingo. Everything checks out. This is how you can waste time better than doing crossword puzzles.

I never got to work on A-10s but everyone I ever talked with who did absolutely loved that aircraft.
An awesome piece of hardware and not nearly enough of them were produced.
Great ride along video. I thoroughly enjoyed.
BTW, my name was painted on the side of a couple of F-15s while I was active duty.

Thanks for the demo ride from the son of an A-10 Program Engineer/Designer...who's recently buried just 2-3 miles from the birthplace of the Warthog (Fairchild Republic Farmingdale, New York). Growing up in Farmingdale as a kid I remember the first day my Dad started the program right up to the day the first prototype was loaded on a C5 for testing out west. I remember the weekends he had to work when they were facing design issues...the loss of one of the first A-10s and its test pilot at the Paris airshow...and all the dinner table family conversations, about how they always wanted to cancel the program...lots of memories....thanks again for the demo ride.

Absolutely love the A-10. Growing up an Air Force Brat I was around aircraft constantly and spent 10 of my first 18 years in Germany (4 years and 6 years). My favorite part as far as aircraft was 1979-81 when my father was stationed at Sembach AB while I was in Junior High. There seemed to always be a squadron of A-10's forward deployed from their base in the UK and they were constantly flying. Went in the Army after college and was still immensely glad to see them overhead knowing these old, tough birds were in our inventory.
This was the best flight narration I have ever heard. Gator is a heck of a pilot. I have to say though, the really special people are the ground crew and maintainers that keep these old planes airworthy and safe!

I spent four peacetime years in the army but only got to see this plane in action ONE time, during a training exercise, and BOY, what a piece of machinery it is! Most videos and discussions about this plane revolve around its durability and its gun. its agility and maneuverability are hardly ever talked about but I'm here to tell you it's something to behold. I don't know how on earth the pilots that fly this plane deal with the G-forces this thing pulls, but my hats go off to them. It makes the cold and dark starts on DCS feel more interesting if you can see that your life is on the line if you mess up the startup checklist and safety cross checks. The APU and turbines are your life. Your ability to do a restart in the air without dying after a compressor stall mean you know this bird like the back of your hand.

Back in 1980, I was at Lackland AFB. Brand new almost Airman. I watched a training film on the A-10. From that moment on I was hooked. No other aircraft can do what the A-10 can do. This video is the best one bar none! I actually felt my stomach in my throat a few times. LOL. Best seat in the house! Narration, video, and the crew were top notch. 22 yrs and a heck of a ride! So many awesome memories.

Never forget the first time I saw an A10, I was stationed in FRG it was midday and all of a sudden, I heard the scream of the A10 engines as the pilot came down the Kitzingen airfield at low altitude and disappeared. Everyone that was inside of the buildings came out to see what had just flown overhead.

I went to a boarding school in Suffolk from 1985 to 1989 and the A10’s used to use our school as a reference point. After all,the main building was white! They’d become as common as living on an approach to a major airport
I was fascinated with this aircraft. Once, early morning and we’d just been woken up. The big curtains were drawn, I looked up and in the early light, an A-10 flew straight towards us and then banked sharp right. You’d never hear them. Such an absolute magnificent aircraft.

Tha Major and his wingmen must tolerate seven gee's as they take these amazing aircraft through it's paces, demonstrating the incredible maneuverability the pilot has at his command AND his incredible air craft can give him is simply amazing. We on the ground who know nothing about the stress the pilot and his aircraft are going through as they show it to us. We do see how quickly it can change direction but we did not know about the stress on the pilot and his plane. I was US Army artillery 1967 through 1973 and have been a proud Army guy. My Dad was US Air Force flight line crash crew leading NCO, my brother was/is a Marine, my Son was US Army and I am so proud of my Grandson because he was appointed to the US Military Academy graduated 2021 and is now a Ranger second lieutenant. Many of us who have watched this video are so doggoned proud of our US Air Force, Navy and Marine pilots and their support ground crew it's hard to put into proper words. We LOVE ALL of you and pray our GOD keep you SAFE and able to do what you do to keep America FREE, Thank YOU for your service, Thank YOU.

...I've seen A-10 demos at airshows but to watch it from the pilot's POV is something else. .
As others mentioned not everyone sees all the steps that go behind each such flight. Everything still has to be done by the book to ensure maximum amount safety so the audience can sit back and enjoy the show.
    Great video.

As a kid in the 1980s I grew up close to the RAF Holbeach range where the A-10s out of RAF Bentwaters used to train. Saw (and heard!) plenty of A-10s from the outside, but so awesome to see the pilot's perspective - much more physically demanding that I'd have guessed. Slick demo and amazing ground crew teamwork. Thanks for the insight!

Every time I watch videos like this, I tend to tear up. Because it reminds me when I went to a recruitment center to sign up.
I was asked what I wanted to do, I responded with "I want to be a pilot" I was laughed at. The guy even called in a few other people and pointed at me laughing
saying to the other people while laughing saying "He wants to be a pilot" and everyone else laughed.
The guy told me no way in hell. He said the best job for me was something else. I got up in disbelief how I was being treated and left.
From that day on, never wanted to sign up to the military. Still love planes. I always wanted to be a pilot on a carrier. That dream way long gone now. maybe in the next lifetime.
Great video by the way. :)

My pops was a USAF pilot I was a Marine air naval gunfire liaison team. I love watching these videos and thinking of my dad doing this stuff. He was a consummate professional. Before he passed we used to get into a bit of a banter about who was more badass me on the deck getting shot at and directing support or him coming in with the candy and bailing us out. He always had the ace card- he could fly back- land go to the O club and have a cocktail. I might get a hot meal that week. My ace in the hole was it ain't our land until someone like me plants the flag. lame compared to the O club cocktails. Oh and he would say his gear humps him to the battle I had to hump my gear there.
