A lot of the mechanics where sadly created from a combination of cribbing off Air mode and the expectation of T34's and KV's fighting Tigers and Panthers. So the game really starts to fall apart in a lot of places because of that. mechanics like hull break are attempts by Gaijin to address the issues created.
Or a way to have the commander politely ask the gunner to step out of the tank with him for a second while suspiciously loading his pistol. I wouldn't mind spending the crew replenish on fixing my crew's gummy bear syndrome.
@@darthkarl99 the t34-57 at the br, 4.3 is capable of handling with the tiger at 5.3 its the new panther at 5.3 it might need to worry about. But yes the kv's cant really compete with them due to weak gun, and armour that wont stop a german gun in an uptier. And seeing how the kv basically gets its power from its armour, its basically useless if it has to fight a tiger or panther.
This is the first and only tank I've gotten a triple ace survivor in. Its absolutely nutty. You hull when angled is nearly invulnerable, the gun can kill anything, new enemies wont aim for the turret, the only thing that holds it back is reload speed. Get yourself into a central position with shots onto the enemies routes and youre golden in this monster.
Just going to repeat somthing i said a few weeks ago in response to a comment you made about positioning in this video. I'd love to see you do some video's on maps covering good places to go with various types of tank.

o7 Odd you should get some nostalgia on the channel and do some of the classic German 6.7 load outs from long times past. I’d back in the day rock the King Tiger (H) Ferdinand (although that’s very expensive to run) Tiger II (P) and a Panther A for fast medium memes. CAS I never really got into but I reckon you’d be able to find a very decent pick.
I got challenge for you called Legendary Ardene Kill. Grab M8 Greyhound and kill one King Tiger. You can pen it only from behind on the smoke tubes, neck of the turret can pen sometimes too and another spot is from the sides on the front to kill driver and transmission. Everything is possible from 0 to 5 meters.
6 years ago, when the t34 was the bane of WT. I found out that shooting t34s at range was the was to go. Slope armor meant nothing when the round was hitting at a flat surface..
Hey Odd, I know it might be a sort of different gameplay that might generate less content, (at this point you've probably stopped reading this comment and disliked it), but what do you think about trying out the 3.7 br m10 in a more hidden sniping position on something like a long range desert map? Just give me a chance and hear me out, please. I absolutely love this vehicle, loaded with the 76 mm M7 cannon with -10° vertical guidance and the M62 shell with 149 mm penn point blank and 63.7 grams tnt equiv, perfect for one-shotting Tigers from the front. When hull done, it is very capable of bouncing shells off of the 55° angled front hull. I play it in my Jumbo lineup as a long range support vehicle at 5.3 br where it's well balanced, I will generally clean up 3-5 kills with it per game, and it is surprisingly survivable, as I have absorbed 3 shells from an Avenger within 400 meters and still managed to recover and knock him out. Just a thought, I would like your opinion on this TD.

Oddbawz you should do a video using the crusader 3. It has decent armour which can sometimes bounce shots if used correctly, a very fast reloading stabilised 50mm that is awesome for its br, great mobility and scouting. Its a great low teir basher that can be very very fun to use
@10:27, Gaijin, like a lot of developers that meet success, tend to focus on the things that will result in a quick return. ie new flash vehicles (that inevitably cause "balance" issues), flash sounds (which are very good I gotta say), and flash sparkly effects in fires, and like you say tend to overlook the smaller "nuances" that would add so much to the game, but are a lot harder to nail down. Plus there's the player base divided in what they find important, the Devs will never keep more than 1/3rd happy at any time. How do they balance tanks like the T34 and M4 that in general only had success by the weight of numbers against the arguably better, but far less numerous Tiger and Panther? The game is built around equal numbers on each side, whereas to get parity they would need a 3 or 5 to 1 ratio of T34/M4 to each Tiger/Panther. T34's against the Pz3, 2 and 1's was the opposite, none of those could pen a KV1, and struggled against T34's, at the start of Operation Barbarossa, the only successful Anti Tank gun was the 88mm. "Realism" based on actual data from conflicts can never happen in a game like this. That said they could go a long way by getting a bit more realistic with the power of CAS in the game, and the power of the various SPAA against fully armoured vehicles with the added current "no armour is best armour" meta (yes Whirble, R3 and milktrucks, I'm looking at you). And maps, they could do a lot with the maps along with the uptier/downtier and matchmaking, but I think that's a pandoras box which will never be seriously looked at, they'll continue with minor percentage tweaks to individual vehicle BR rather than overhaul the system. But, with them now releasing and working on "Enlisted" I can only see this title getting less love and more resources diverted away.
Lets go for another vehicle request? Quite possibly the best American premiums in the tree - The T20. It's been raised from 5.0 to 5.3 and then 5.7. Not to mention it didn't have the mounted .50cal when introduced. But this absolute gem of a vehicle is the American T-34-85. Not to mention that it's at a good enough BR to still be useful (unless you fight Tiger 2 H/Ferdi)

i use the t34 with BR 3.3, both 3.7s and the 4.0 and always start out with the 3.3 doing pretty good for most matches you can just keep spawning with those things and they're doing great

One thing I never see people cover anymore is the T-34-100. Has a doom cannon but it's so hard to use at that tier, in my experience. Maybe try it with an aircraft of your choice?
Use your speed to flank around the map and get into positions of ambush. After a few kills, or usually even 1, reposition. Odd you should play the M18.

You need to try the Panzer III Ausf. M and Ausf. L, recently i being getting double aces every single round with those tanks, the combination of a high penning gun for its Battle Rating, amazing rate of fire (3.6 second reload), good armor and good speed makes those tanks really good if you know how to use the gun properly!

Spawns alone show you that Gaijin never play their own game. It's the only explanation. Facing the wrong direction, right in front of walls/trees, In american desert you can spawn inside a tree... It's utter ridiculous.
