Im not saying theres russian bias.... But as a British main i recently starting grinding the russian tank tree and i have a 70% win rate from br 3.0 - 6.3 versus my british win rate of 43% average in that same bracket. And not a single one of my russian tanks in that bracket is less then 1.5KDR. Hell even the 100lb forged bombs on the attackers have a higher kill rate then any british 500lb attacker in that bracket. Lol
@@gazda4535 naw was germany. I was playing when tanks first came out. My russian stats are far superior to both british and german stats of the same br. I think it comes down to the overall BR combos. Pretty easy to spawn 3-4 very similar, very capable t34s that all more or less feel the same and then you toss in a good heavy tank/AT guns and you got a lineup thats super easy to use and very effective
@@gazda4535 6.7 was definitely the anchor of the british tree. Having the cent 3, the fv4202 and the action X on a roster with the spitfire mk24 on support with the 3 - 500 bombs was pretty gross. I think it was a very good BR for the exact reason i think the russian tree does so well, its a combination of very capable medium tanks and good supporting aircraft. The centurions were great for many things, but the ammo in the front and the weak top armour definitely gave the enemy a fighting chance assuming they knew where to fire. The current day problem for the British is that mere .3 BR increase means your average game is a 7.7-8.0 and then your running into the waves of russian mediums (t54s) and even if you manage to play like a boss, I feel like its a big ask as a team for you to defeat a combined total of 45 solid russian medium tanks in the average games roster. Combine that with the fact when they got uptiered the repair costs remained the same, so all the 7.0 british tanks are 15k SL to repair, so by the time you take out 2 or 3 vehicles even with premium if your not going to win the game your going to bleed your bank. Hell even the mark 24 is a 20k repair. Theres games i lost where i forked out 80k SL in repair costs.... So what happens more then anything, is 1/3 of your team of british players will die in their first spawn and they will just leave the game, so now its 10 players fighting 45 T54s. lol. Just snowballs like crazy. I got up to the chieftan mk3 and just fell out of love with the tree, im happy i got to expirence a strong 6.7 while it was an option, i probably wouldnt recommend anyone grinding the tree past the cromwell now. Just a shame, i felt like the 6.7 centurion roster was gaijins reward for enduring british 5.3 which was aweful. Ive got something like a 33% win rate in the comet/challenger lol.

I think your correct that the main 3 trees are vastly better then the rest and jts probably geared that way due to player counts. Most popular factions =best sales figures. Just a shame that every faction doesnt get a time in the light.
its not really the correct battle rating, we see twice a Super Pershing (6.3) here, the real question is where is Jagdpanther and Tiger (P) ass raping everybody?
AP cap is there to prevent the shell from shattering on impact, a side effect is that it normalises the shell better. Without a cap, hitting angled/face hardened/thick armour or just firing from too close would shatter the shell.

I get the joke, but it may actually seem like the truth if you watch many of his videos. The thing is, he's a good player in general I would say, but more importantly he picks the interesting stuff for the videos.
I’m pretty new to the game and Phly’s videos keep me grinding for higher br tanks (or at least getting through the game still). I can say that with my couple of months of experience in the game, my favourite map is the Frozen pass map because there’s 3 ways you can play from just the one spawn (especially for low br tanks). I actually know what I’m doing on the map for once! Thanks Phly.

Well, beyond being trained and used to their own gear, there's a reason the U.S. lend lease tanks that were shipped to the Soviet Union ended up back as reserve and rear echelon guard service. Should probably force yourself to sit on a super uncomfortable kids chair when playing the T-34 though 😋
I played War Thunder and there is something I took notice about. 1: Folk do same thing over and over again, like in Ash River where folk run down into the pit of death and die there, then come back with a new tank and do it all over again. 2: Ignore all "ATTENTION TO THE MAP" even you pinpoint an enemy 20 meter behind your team and you see them disappear one after one. 3: Follow the main flock, run in a straight line to A like there can not be anything between A, B and C and the flank is just something the enemy is using. 4: Do not wait for other players, take the cap fast is more important than be a team. 5: Take the point, then over extend and die for one kill is more important than be in the winning team. 6: Go spawn kill, sit there and wait even you see the team being killed behind you and keep doing that even enemy spawn at the other spawn point. 7: Drive up with a SPAA to and player sitting silent at a strategic location and go, "DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA" towards a bomber you can't kill. 8: You see 3 burning tanks in one spot and stop, 10 minutes later there is 7 burning team tanks and a chat window full with "Attention" that was ignored. 9: You have a light tank and want to help you team by spotting the enemy, you spot 25 tanks and none of them get killed. 0: You finally get a good team just to realize that you now ended up in 14th place and you now want to go back to a stupid shitty crap team.

Day 5: Hey Phly! You should do a public lobby with friends and fans where each team has one VTOL plane, and the rest of the planes are reserve tier I planes. The objective would be to land the VTOL plane in a cap zone (you would use a tank map with a plane spawn-point), and successfully run down the tickets of the other team. Each team's tier 1 planes need to protect the VTOL at any cost. There should probably be a 30 second delay for the VTOLs to take off because SPEED, but, do what ya want. Hope it’s PHUN!

The key is that the first two shells doesn't use any type of explosive, meanwhile the APHEBC does, maybe that's why it can pen the jumbo
