- The AMX-13-M24 buff was a welcome change to this Premium French Tank. The AMX-13-M24 got a stabilizer, FINALLY. This makes it super useful for brawling.
The AMX-13 has notoriously bad suspension if ANY suspension at all. That usually means your time to get your cannon on target is very slow but with the AMX-13 M24 that isn't the case. The gyro stabiliser is really effective up at slower speeds meaning it's really quick to take out your opponent!
It's rare that France gets an effective premium tank without it getting put at a ridiculous Battle Rating so this is definitely a welcome change to this French Premium Tank!

17 kills while resetting caps, actively hunting down enemy tanks and holding strategic positions and the team still refuses to win, this is what makes me take long breaks from war thunder and world of tanks XD
I enjoyed it, though!
There are so many games where you can get an early game cap, take a strategic position, wipe half the enemy team and control 3/4 of the map and your teammates will run around with their heads cut off and all be killed by 1-2 players on the enemy team. the lack of awareness of some players is AMAZING.
@@ravenof1985 that’s what multiplayer games have come unfortunately. Society/gamers have become 13 IQ mouth breathers so I’ve learned to not rely on them
I think odd should have capped c but refuses to cap in order stop enemies coming to cap instead thats what made them lose

Nice! The lack of stabilizer is what made me feel indifferent to this tank. But now with a stabilizer it should be a lot more enjoyable :)
When I first bought it I thought I had just wasted my money but now it's one of my favourite tanks in the whole game

So, let me get this straight...
The AMX-13 (FL11) is 4.0. The M24 is 3.7. The AMX-13-24 is 3.3.
Since the AMX-13-24 is the hull of the AMX and the stabilized turret of the Chaffee, I can only conclude that the FL11 turret, which is unstabilized, is so well armored that it's worthy of two jumps in BR. It isn't.
What the hell is wrong with Gaijin?
Just one of the many, MANY issues with how they balance by player statistics.
Small group of skilled players play a particular vehicle and do well? Clearly it's the vehicle and not the players to nerf it into oblivion.
Massive pool of players with a large majority being brainlets (or noobs) that just drop the vehicle's stats *cough* BMP-2M, Leo 2 PL, and soon the M1A1 AIM *cough*. Must be a bad vehicle so continue to buff it.
The EBR with the same turret as the FL-11 is at 5.0 now... The same BR as Jumbos, T-34-85s and early panthers, without a stabilizer and worse protection. Meanwhile the German tech tree Puma can stay at 2.7 with a similar STOCK APHE shell and APCR, while the EBR can't even pen the side of a panthers hull with its stock shell

@@lecszynskialex4698 the EBR has better suspension, a higher forward speed, and dual-direction steering. It is much better than the AMX-13 FL.11, although I'm not sure about it being 5.0
This is my fave tank at the low tier/fun tier. Its APHE shell is great and the tank itself can soak up punishment, its mobile, but at close range can be wrecked by HMGs
I really like the video featuring the weird kinda-bad tanks, they're more entertaining than a curb stomp with an overpowered premium murdermachine

I love the option to pick ordnance spots on aircraft and I wish you could do that with tank armour. I would remove the fencing around the striker and remove some ERA blocks. Less weight = more SPEEED

So when the AMX 13 FL11 got bumped to 3.7 and then 4.0 I really was sad but I at least suspected we'd see the Puma move up too since the Chaffee did. Also, the EBR 1951 is sitting at 5.0 now and it is basically a little bit better Puma. But I don't get it, I guess I never will get it, the Puma is still seemingly at it's lowest potential BR while the Chaffee, AMX 13 FL11 and EBR 1951 are all at their maximum potential BR or at least higher than their lowest potential BR. The EBR 1951 is pretty friggin egregious at 5.0 honestly it's basically a Puma with better post penetration and a better turret rotation. But it also doesn't get the reload rate of a Puma and the armor is about equals with the same number of crew and one small caliber machine gun. I'm baffled sometimes by the balancing, and yes, I see the most egregious ones in the minor tech trees and in Germany.
What exactly they think the EBR 1951 does so much better to be 2.3 higher in BR is well beyond my understanding because on paper they're maybe .3 or .7 apart, 1.0 at a reach. Not 2.3. The other EBRs sure deserve their higher BRs but the one in the tree is a wheeled AMX 13 FL11 which is already over BR to fuck and is worse than the Chaffee in every way except frontal protection and yet is higher than the M24. It's really like they only, exclusively look at player statistics. Sadly, I did quite decent in my AMX 13 FL 11 before they cranked it up two BRs out of nowhere so I don't know what else to guess other than most players start playing minor trees after they've become experienced in the game and it heavily skews the statistics. While the big 4 nations all see newer players far more often.
I've seen the EBR bounce shots in ways that made no sense. It might not be quantifiable in stats, but I think it has some serious Gaijin volumetric glitch armor buffs.
The Puma is literally the only FTP scout Germany gets below 6.3 and only has a 50mm gun. Let it stay at 2.7
@@techienate It definitely is better than a Puma I just don't in any way think it's so substantially superior. If it had a gun capable of 120mm of penetration or a .50 cal or anything that sets it apart but it doesn't. It doesn't even get APCR. It's penetration is almost identical to the Puma with a much slower reload. The one off set there is the post penetration is superior by a lot, but it's pretty much off set. The better turret rotation is the number one thing to me and why it should be higher but the Puma's gun mantlet is notorious for shrugging off shells it has no business shrugging and is frontally nearly impervious to .50 cals which is very similar to the EBR.
But the EBR does have better overall armor, I'm just confused by how they find a 5.0 BR for a vehicle that is legitimately only maybe 25-30% better than a vehicle at 2.7. I've been saying that about the Puma for a while though. That thing is a wonderful armored car and there's a reason people take it up in higher BRs. It's capable of performing clear into the 5.0-5.7 range. Which again seems to me like some tanks and vehicles get their BR according to their maximum potential while others get their BR according to their lowest potential. Fair to say most things can kill a Chaffee at 2.7, most things can kill the EBR 1951 at 2.7 but they're not there. I just am so tired of seeing this happen repeatedly to vehicles I thoroughly enjoy being screwed by BR raises.
I was fine with them raising the AMX 13 FL11 to 3.7 It didn't change much but also took it out of the 2.3 range of vehicles which I felt was fair. Then they moved it to 4.0 and isolated it and put it above the Chaffee which it just doesn't have any business being above. One has a stabilizer and good AA machine gun. The other has an advantage in frontal survivability but has horrible suspension and a slower reload and 2 less crew. The minor nations just get absolutely boned. The Chi-Nu is at 3.3 with the Panzer IV F2 and G and M4A1 Sherman tanks and it's laughable that it's there. Don't get me wrong, it can do well at that BR and higher but it's worse than the Sherman or Panzer IV F2 and T-34s straight out in every way except post penetration lethality. But, Japan is a minor nation and there for gets stupidly high BRs.
@@duncanmcgee13 Why does that matter? That shouldn't matter in balancing. I just don't think it should be down at 2.7 if other vehicles with very similar attributes are 2.3 fucking BR higher. That's not a small difference, that's early WW2 to late WW2. If the Chaffee is at 3.7 and the SARC 6lber is at 3.3, why's the Puma still at 2.7? The SARC has a 57mm gun with piss poor post penetration. It's got a .50 cal to help but worse armor than the Puma and worse steering and worse speed and a bobble head for it's stability platform.
I wouldn't care if it's at 2.7 if the other vehicles it's comparable with weren't so high. It's like I said, the fucking vehicles in other nations especially minor nations seems to be given a BR based on their maximum capability but meanwhile a vehicle like the Puma seems to be given a BR based on it's lowest possible potential. The 50mm cannon is more than enough anyway with it's high reload rate and HE filler. It's not even worth playing at 2.7 it's a joke how advantageous it is at that BR, honestly. It really is out of place now since the Chaffee and AMX 13 FL11 were moved up and the AB 43 moved up to 2.7 which is frankly a worse Puma in every way.

It also got a nerf at the same time to it's gun depression from -10 to -8

the second map is one of my favourite maps in the game. also i think when you like a map it reduces the chances of you getting it because after the first few times of playing this map i liked it and never got it again until now when i took it off of my liked map list.

Weird thing about the AMX-13 (FL11) that I'm not sure has changed since the last I played it, it's coax machine gun doesn't start fully loaded. It has around 15 to 25 rounds loaded and if you fire them all off right at the start it will reload to the proper amount of machine gun ammo.
I know this isn't the AMX-13 (FL11) but it's the same hull and the FL11 is the version most people are going to have. So weird quirks of it are kind of relevant.
I just bought this tank a little while ago I’m glad it has a stabilizer I grinder my way always to 7.7 with this tank and the beautiful 3.7-4.0 French line up and the p47 premium also has been great this tank is truly fun and a silver lion farmer
I like the fl 11, the turret is rather trolly, and its less wobbly as long as you keep steady speed, it is a fun flanker and in a hull down position with knowladge of enemy weak points, its really fun.

Bawz, I know you were joking but "If you could ban a map without premium if you could earn a nuke would encourage people to play better" while you club the living daylights out of people that are clearly struggling to play the game is a bit crass don't you think?
Maybe you don't understand how lucky you are with your mix of talents that make this kind easy, but also you have the proper gear, and enough internet to make it happen. Like you said you need to have the right earphones or you can't hear people as well. Having a super nice rig helps too, and yeah most of us can't even have that kind of thing, having to compromise one way or the other.
I been watching and learning from you for years and every single game I try hard as hell and it still blows me away how good you are. You don't always communicate what is going on in your head and that is fine, but there are subtleties that I am noticing now that I never would have before, like the anticipation of where people are going to go and or be.
I still don't hear everyone you do, even though I bought a better headset it apparently just still isn't enough. I still can't see people and it makes me want to quit playing because I want to and should be doing better. I am still to scared and take too much time because I try to make sure it is clear before I move up. When I get too aggressive it is apparently at the wrong time.
This even gets worse if I am in a stock tank with a basic crew, and just a bad tank that I want to see how it plays when it is not stock.
Well apparently. lol I will just keep trying to get good.

There are definately games that benefit from good gear way more than war thunder, most of it is still skill imo (And most of that skill isn't like twitch reaction based skill. It's tactial decision making and knowledge of the game/mechanics). Bawz just notices small improvements in gear because he's at the top of his game in war thunder.

The FL11 is literally the same vehicle but worse, it has the same chassis and engine, mass, gun, reload, elevation angles, but without the stabilizer and .50cal lmao - yet it's 4.0 despite this, an objectively better vehicle, being 3.3 and the Chaffee, which is also better, being 3.7. Gaijin straight up hates the french tree lmao
One thing you got wrong the gun has the same pen but less velocity so it's crappier , gaijin REALLY hate the french

Hey Odd, I've been wanting to ask since the first dev blogs came out for this new update but if I may ask, What vehicle do you think you'll do first? or are you going to do the main thing of the event (The F-14) or are you gonna do one of the more lesser hyped up vehicles like the Pvkv III or the Rhino G6?

I really want to like this game. I really want to play more. But starting as a new player, level 8, and nearly every game I play is against level 50-100 players who just dominate the lobbies in BR1-2, I just can't have a good game. I can't really learn the maps. I can't really have fun. Air battle, ground battle, same thing every game. High level enemies demolishing me every turn. What do I do?

Heres an idea. So supposedly the T34 is stabilized at full speed. So with that being said, use a lineup of Ruskie T34 and do not stop, full speed ahead and see what happens.

@@michaelhowell2326 You'll be best going back down to the 3.7 lineup where you have the modifications because it'll help get used to the slower movement and will be tanks you're familiar playing with and against. That way you're only learning the realistic part of it instead of that AND new vehicles.
