    Now I want to do it as well :3

    fascinating to see the deep emerald green colours . well done and thanks :) :). I love chemistry, not as a productive chemist to produce something, or anything, but learning and enjoying the 'from this and this.. to this!' effect.It's like magic.fascinating. Also, i like to try as well... "can my own hands create a deep green flame?" sort of thing. Thanks for sharing.

    So cool ! Really great video ! Interesting. I did actually learn about this in school as a way to test for ethanol vs methanol. In German it's called: "Borsäurmethylester". I am not German but live in Germany so i have to handle with different names 😂

    I have not done this synthesis with ethanol to get triethyl Borate (I don't have enough equipment) so if you did it in the future I'll be great full to share it with us :))

      I didn’t do this synthesis yet, but I will probably do it in the future, and if enough pepole would want to see it I will make a video about it :)

    Great video its well explained, beautiful color. What are the temperature for destillation and for refluxing?

    it looks so cool , where can I buy?
    btw can you also make dark flame?

    I'm curious if you could put it into a "Tiki Lamp" and have green flames for a few hours... or maybe just minutes. Fun at parties!!!

    Nice video man, maybe one day you could do a extraction of citrulline from a watermelon.

    • @Amateur.Chemistry
      @Amateur.Chemistry  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I could do this extraction, but do you know any uses for the citrulline which would be interesting to show?

      @Tayday42 I could make some chemical watermelon sugar :)

    Do you think there could be a formula that works with zippo lighters? I mean, with benzene
    Thank you very much

    Do i need to use methanol for the reaction?

    If I use Phosphoric acid it'll work?

    • @Amateur.Chemistry
      @Amateur.Chemistry  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably, although i haven't tested it.

      @@Amateur.Chemistry 🥲😿can you try with Phosphoric acid, please, because it's more safer than Sulphoric acid

      Conc. phosphoric acid also works but attacs the glassware when hot. Sodium bisulfate can be used instead and is - in contrast to conc. sulfuric acid - above all still legal to use for private individuals in the EU.

      @aadenluk4931 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Phosphoric acid is also kind of hard to get ahold of, whereas sulfuric acid is used in drain openers

      Here in the EU sulfuric acid is illegal, phosphoric acid is available everywhere.

    The bitrate on this video is atrocious! I love the content, but it seems your video editor settings are really messed up!

    • @Amateur.Chemistry
      @Amateur.Chemistry  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is it like this on the newer videos? I think that I have fixed it but I might be wrong

    • @neb_setabed
      @neb_setabed ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure, I have been binging through your channel over the last couple of days (as I said I love the content ❤) and I have not noticed anything too crazy. However 2:59 it looks pretty bad when you are filling the cylinder. It's the background of the video bleeding in. That usually means an issue with bitrate since I have the video locked in at 1080p.

    Also a nod of respect acknowledgeing Styropyro. also a brillant channel. but one of my faves is "make and destroy" www.youtube.com/@MakeAndDestroyFireworks .. the combination of both your guys content is really enjoyable.
