Hailed as the second Swami Vivekananda, Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda (1916-1993) is an orator, writer and leader par excellence, a patriot and spiritual giant, one of the finest representatives of Indian spiritual heritage who spearheaded a global Hindu spiritual and cultural renaissance that popularised the religion's esoteric scriptural texts, teaching them in English all across India and abroad.
He worked tirelessly with tremendous energy for more than four decades to spread the message of Vedanta, leaving behind a great legacy for man. He has authored 95 publications, including commentaries on the major Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita. He was a visiting professor of Indian philosophy at several American and Asian universities and he conducted university lecture tours in many countries.

Remember VHP was founded at his residence and it was his idea of forming a powerful Hindu group who can rule streets and eventually free Mandir and protect Hindus. I am listening to this right now and literally seeing this around me. In my corporate office earlier people used to feel ashamed of wearing a tilak or adorning traditional attire. Today most of the folks were unapologetically wearing a tilak and also felt proud of the heritage.

The temple and support from the nation is an expression of maturity of the people of the current couple of generations and awareness and connection with our ancient past from millenia ago that ASI has unearthed and modern India has come to realise about it's ancient roots.
Yes Guruji we needed this Ram temple, to revive the Hindu consciousness, culture & nationalism. For Hindus it is a pride that they regained their respect. And for Muslims - it is a guilt freeing feeling, that they wiped off the bad history of invasion & destruction to make the doors open for truth to establish.

Pilgrimage can be the largest income producer of India only if the proper road infrastructures are in place.
Also it has to be understood that shoes are not allowed inside the temples and proper accommodation must be made for those who are not accustomed to removing their shoes in public places.

Atleast he is honest…. And acknowledging that it is about settling scores, rebuilding, political revenge, hindu pride…. And has nothing to do with love and bhakti that other gurus are touting. As he rightly said Ram and Narayan are in our hearts, they dont need specific temple at specific location. Such conditions and criteria are needed for egoistic agendas, misplaced sense of justice and pride.

You missed the bit where he said it was not a religious mosque but a triumphal mosque. It is that structure which had nothing religious about it. It had to go.
The sense of pride is not misplaced. In an ordinary common law court, it is a simple case of tort being made right. Justice in the restoration of what has been destroyed. And no, the preceding structure was built on top of a temple.
You are wrong on so many levels. It has indeed stricken bhakti in everybody overnight. We do everything for ourselves including building temples. How can Sadhus have egoistic agendas when they are fighting on behalf of all of us. Don't think you can speak nonsense. You have no idea of what a temple can do. It is an enlightened ecosystem. It's very much required other wise humans will turn into monsters. How can you guys have false confidence without reading anything about it. It's like I am talking about a story without reading a book.

@@krishnanunnimadathil8142 yes, hypothetically one is living peacefully… someone breaks in, loots and steals… we feel violated, angry….and we want to get back to peaceful or see the justice done (except this happened 1000 years ago). So muslims ruled for 1000 years….this temple couldnt be the only ‘stuff’ they broke. They probably converted many hindus. Raped and pillaged. How are you going to get justice for everything? I am just curious that if settling past scores is what gives you peace, then how many other sorrows are buried in heart and when will it find peace. Or is one mandir symbolic enough to settle all old accounts and get a fresh start?
And what about angrez, all the stuff they broke… there must be some churches built on hindu lands…
Otherwise past justice is not complete….is it?
Anyways, ultimately there is no end to mental level arguments, counter opinions…probably all of them are right in their own way. That is sansara. Human mind can twist and create clever thoughts. What about the hearts and how we feel inside? It is beyond the level of thoughts and words.
It is for each individual to introspect what is in their heart, what are the intentions behind their actions and words… what is their purpose or path to peace, or if they even care for it…
@@rmsomyamost of us are Advaita amateurs.....people listen to and read vedantic stuff but to actually apply it takes yugas and yugas of practice, her comment reminds me of an old story where a Vedant amateur stood in front of a charging elephant because he and the elephant (according to him) is just one Brahm............didn't end well for him.
