That is all your mind is capable of doing because it can only use its own memories (preconditioning, bad habits etc) to produce an image of the other person in your brain. Basically, you are projecting your own image onto others. When you have nasty feelings about others, it says something about yourself at so many levels.

The mind is like a sieve made of memories, that filters all sensory impressions and captures only the recognizable impressions. The mind is doing this sieving because the mind is serving and protecting the person: the selfimage of that man or woman. But when enlightenment occurs the sieve, the filter, is washed out and cleaned from previous connections that allowed only comparison and recognition. All of a sudden the enlightened person can see his/ her observations in the totality of the phenomena, unfiltered by the question what that phenomenon means for the person. The person that was there as a selfimage is no more. The mind perceives phenomena as they are in themselves, not only in what they mean to the self.
Waiting for Enlightenment is like Waiting for Godot, who never arrives. Instead, Live Life with Enlightening Moments and days. This Life is Good Enough!

Enlightened beings do have powers. It's from my experience of Kriya Yoga masters: Paramahamsa Hariharananda, Paramahamsa Prajnanananda, and Paramahamsa Shuddhananda. Problem is, to the novice, this is either magic or tantric. But these Enlightened beings, as you said, avoid using it. And if they use it, they don't advertise it...and that's exactly how I know.
Swami ji you should make it sound easy...and not so difficult. People on earth my view is forget about all what he said...just focus on Atma your soul...it will do the rest. Else still your life will be easy on earth...you are Atma and you are not the doer

None of the swamis or gurus are. They are advanced but they dont get it. But it will take you lifetimes to realize this folly. So you are better off listening to them. Try it, see if it gets you anywhere. It won’t, but you should try.
Anything finite is negligible in the face of the infinite. So advanced is the same as beginner. There is no progress. There is only interest in the truth, which nobody has. Truth is the simplest thing. When there is interest, it cannot stay hidden.

It is only for people who wanna be fixed in one position and feel like they are God with a God-like mind with a mysteriously sense of knowing everything which is hard to explain. It's that and divine light, love, ecstacy, eternity - but soooooo fucking boooooooring. No body, no creation, no animation, just fucking divine light and no darkness nowhere. No space, no relative time, just fucking boring place with a God-like mind, thinking you're God - yes, you really think like that. Who the hell wanna be awake like that in an eternity? For real. Your soul is fucking inactive, and that is the worse thing you wanna experience.
