A masterpiece indeed. Omar's face was triumphant over so called traditions and over so many lies, over the need to leave the secrets behind. Therefore, this series needs to be completed with at least one more season. Bravo for Edvin and Omar and their great performances.

When Wilhelm saw Simon's face as August stood up, he changed his mind about speaking. His mother thougt her manipulations with August spurred him into action, but no. It was Simon. Both Omar and Edvin delivered outstanding performances this season, Edvin openly showing a huge range of emotions, and Omar supressing an equal range of emotions. I'm in awe, is there anything they can't do? They're both insanely good, please give us 2 more seasons! 💜👑👑💜

I think he did it mostly because simon accepted wille as he is and as his situation is, so he also wanted to do the same. but also because he knew he could actually change things that he hate about the outdated traditions if he is on that position. we all know august wouldn't have. he's a follower, not a visionary.

"I want to be with you. If it has to be a secret, so be it...if there's no other way. But no more secrets between us." "I love you." It's clearly a spur of the momemt decision for Wilhelm when he sees Simon's face, but it's informed by everything he has learnt, his massive emotional growth, all leading to this exact moment, where wanting to protect Simon against being hurt makes him stand up. And then, while speaking, he makes another realisation about the future, that he has a choice, that there is another way. And he speaks out for Simon, and he speaks out for himself, because Simon doesn't want to be a secret, and he himself wants to claim the agency and control of his own life so he can change the harmful traditions of the royal family: "It was me in the video...." "The one with me and Simon" "It was a moment I didn't want to share, with anyone, so I lied. But it was me." This is hands down the most beautiful declaration of love I've ever seen! Oh yes. She's stunning in every scene she's in. She really gives off that powerful stifling feeling of repression. You feel her as an oppressive presence every time she's on screen, even when she's not there you still feel her presence.
Damn! This scene amazes me again and again and again. Just the way Simon's face changes from concerned, to scared to totally calm when Wilhelm looks at him gives me goosebumps! So well done by Omar - I'm in love! And the way Wilhelm breaks the fourth wall and looks to us like "Bring it on!" is so so good and makes me want to see more like ASAP. Edvin is such a great actor!

3:20 I really liked the therapist's expression here. Like a "good for him" expression. This is what he needed to deal with his own trauma, to just be honest about his feelings for once.
The way Edvin looked back and smiled. Then the background music ‘ And you love me, I could feel that’ perfect example when perfect writing meets with perfect acting along with amazing background music and screenplay creates gold.
The season couldn’t have ended better. The acting in this scene is incredible. Edvin is outstanding (as usual) and everyone else’s reactions spoke volumes of what their characters were thinking and feeling at each moment. I also love that the writers didn’t make this moment motivated by Wilhelm trying to win Simon back, Simon had already said he would be with him even as a secret. This was motivated by Wilhelm’s growth as a character and him taking agency of his life. I cannot wait for season 3 and THERE BETTER BE ONE NETFLIX!
When I say that this scene is perfection for me I genuinely mean it. I love everything about, everyone put so much thought in this scene and the actors did such an excellent job, the music enters at the perfect time and edvins facial expressions couldn’t be better. Simon has gone through so much this season so just to see him smile like that at the end felt like a relief to me. You best believe I smiled right along with him.

It’s almost as if they exchange a silent “I love you” when they look and smile at one another at the end. You just see all the nervousness melt away on Simon’s face when Wille smiles at him. This has become my new favorite show ❤️

I cried so much when Prince Wilhelm turned to see Simon's face after he made the shocking admission. It was full of love his eyes were teary but it looked happy and relieved.
My favorite part about the ending of S2 is Wilhelm is essentially saying, "No more closets. I don't want to be in one anymore, and I'm not forcing Simon back into one. It'd make him so unhappy. I don't want him to be my secret." Season 2 was PERFECT IMO. The day season 2 wrapped filming, I wrote a blog post about what I wanted to happen in the new season and I got EVERYTHING I wanted.

That look between them at the end is everything. Edvin and Omar are brilliant actors. They convey so much with their eyes and face. We, the audience, just melt away by their luv 💜. We need S3!! We need to know what follows this amazing scene!!!
The combination of the music and the breaking of the third party by Wil's gaze makes this scene one of the strongest scenes of the series. A really powerful ending.
Edvin is, without exaggerating, one of the greatest actors of his generation. I still can't get over how much talent he showed from a very young age, playing Linus in Gåsmamman, and I feel honored to be able to witness him grow into this brilliant artist. His performance in season two is just immaculate. The way he portrays emotions is just so genuine, potent, touching and... real. I can't wait to keep following his steps as an actor and to see where his career will lead him. Meanwhile, I can't wait to see what's next for Wille and to see how he will handle his future challenges as crown prince. I would LOVE to see his coronation as king as well. I really hope we get to see that (with Simon by his side, OF COURSE)
I also love that his mom/the queen also tries to stop Jan-Olof, she is scared shitless but she knows Wilhelm is right. I loved here character development this season. It was made very clear that she also couldn't change everything just like the thing with August being the next in line. I hope to see more of this if there is gonna be a season 3, I hope she will learn from her son.

Thank goodness for this clip ... I just found this series and binge watched Season 1 ... then started in with Season 2 and the 3rd episode just stopped me cold ... I was so upset with the events that I swore I would not watch another minute ... the lovers disengaged, emotions torn to shreds ... Simon kissing Marcus at the rowing event ... Wilhelm nearly bedding Felice ... the Queen giving August every reason to further destroy Wilhelm in order to claim Crown Prince ... terrible ... I couldn't sleep a wink I was so upset ... I had to come here to find this post to determine that I could resume to watch what appeared to be a total and complete train wreck ... so thanks people ...
There is just so much in this scene, so much of it unstated. The focus of the school counsellor during the move to the off-script part of the speech, just needed a glance, and that said it all. It is the subtlety that the rest of the world understands - we don’t need everything explained to us, as the American try to do, overdo and lose or miss the moment.
It's interesting. Wilhelm said a lot. Simon said nothing. And they both (not to mention the other characters) performed a delightful ending! Omar changing the expression of anguish to happiness was something! I remember that I smiled along with him. 💙
The acting capabilities of these two is just amazing. For such a climatic moment Edvin’s mastery of the role, his talking, his pauses, his glances all are impecable and develop the scene to a higher level. The looking into the camera at the end is so haunting, it is begging us into a new future, a new tradition. This is one of three critical shows that #Netflix has produced. Whilst Love, Simon was break through movie, and Love, Victor an important follow up by Disney+ (although they were too nervous about it initially and moved it elsewhere), the three international productsions, Young Royals, Heartsoppers and Heartbreak High, three different countries, are the leaders in the LGBTIQ+ youth narrative series in 2022 for me.
The way Wilhelm turns to Simon, smiles at Simon and before he’s turned around his expression is back to determined and then the tiny smirk at the end is just perfect. Wilhelm finally said “eff around and find out”. I can’t wait to see what’s behind that last expression.
In the first season he has shown us how to love . But he was a coward to show the world as it was really scary for him . He was experiencing so many things at a time ... But in S2 he showed what really is love , commitment , revenge , passion and just pure souls in love . I love his confidence in the second season. So satisfactory . It's a totally recommended series . Show young royals more n more love . As they totally deserved it .. fingers crossed for season 3 ✨♥️🤞

we are blessed to have this film series made in our lifetime. it is perfectly written and played by talented actors. it may not be the biggest blockbuster but this story will be forever remembered in our hearts. it is timely and relatable on some royal families that we know of and also a love story that everyone can relate to. these kinds of movies by netflix makes them unique
Throughout this whole season I kept saying to myself that the only way for this relationship to be resolved is if he Willie made a grand romantic gesture by coming out about their relationship in public. There was no other way for this to be fixed. And then when Simon said he was ok with keeping it a secret until Willie turned 18 I was like "ah, no grand romantic gestures then." Only to be blown away by this grand romantic gesture. :D
In this moment i knew they would fight as one in this revolution! They are ready is they against the world. The ultimate ride or die, win or fail, it doesn’t matter the result as long as they arr together❤

It’s almost as if they exchange a silent “I love you” when they look and smile at one another at the end. You just see all the nervousness melt away on Simon’s face when Wille smiles at him.

I cried so much when Prince Wilhelm turned to see Simon's face after he made the shocking admission. It was full of love his eyes were teary but it looked happy and relieved.

My favorite part about the ending of S2 is Wilhelm is essentially saying, "No more closets. I don't want to be in one anymore, and I'm not forcing Simon back into one. It'd make him so unhappy. I don't want him to be my secret." Season 2 was PERFECT IMO. The day season 2 wrapped filming, I wrote a blog post about what I wanted to happen in the new season and I got EVERYTHING I wanted.

That look between them at the end is everything. Edvin and Omar are brilliant actors. They convey so much with their eyes and face. We, the audience, just melt away by their luv 💜. We need S3!! We need to know what follows this amazing scene!!!

The combination of the music and the breaking of the third party by Wil's gaze makes this scene one of the strongest scenes of the series. A really powerful ending.
One of the best scenes in young royals, Edvins acting, the music, everything.
Edvin is, without exaggerating, one of the greatest actors of his generation. I still can't get over how much talent he showed from a very young age, playing Linus in Gåsmamman, and I feel honored to be able to witness him grow into this brilliant artist. His performance in season two is just immaculate. The way he portrays emotions is just so genuine, potent, touching and... real. I can't wait to keep following his steps as an actor and to see where his career will lead him. Meanwhile, I can't wait to see what's next for Wille and to see how he will handle his future challenges as crown prince. I would LOVE to see his coronation as king as well. I really hope we get to see that (with Simon by his side, OF COURSE)

I also love that his mom/the queen also tries to stop Jan-Olof, she is scared shitless but she knows Wilhelm is right. I loved here character development this season. It was made very clear that she also couldn't change everything just like the thing with August being the next in line.
I hope to see more of this if there is gonna be a season 3, I hope she will learn from her son.

With all her actions over the season I am in between you two. I still dont get how strong her influence is on actions towards/against :( Wille. I love how she made her (personal?) stance clear against August. Tbh it was the first time for me, she kinda stepped out of the picture the story had build of her to that point.
*Its actually SUCH A BASIC parent-children dynamic that they show us by that.

Thank goodness for this clip ... I just found this series and binge watched Season 1 ... then started in with Season 2 and the 3rd episode just stopped me cold ... I was so upset with the events that I swore I would not watch another minute ... the lovers disengaged, emotions torn to shreds ... Simon kissing Marcus at the rowing event ... Wilhelm nearly bedding Felice ... the Queen giving August every reason to further destroy Wilhelm in order to claim Crown Prince ... terrible ... I couldn't sleep a wink I was so upset ... I had to come here to find this post to determine that I could resume to watch what appeared to be a total and complete train wreck ... so thanks people ...

There is just so much in this scene, so much of it unstated. The focus of the school counsellor during the move to the off-script part of the speech, just needed a glance, and that said it all.
It is the subtlety that the rest of the world understands - we don’t need everything explained to us, as the American try to do, overdo and lose or miss the moment.
It's interesting. Wilhelm said a lot. Simon said nothing. And they both (not to mention the other characters) performed a delightful ending! Omar changing the expression of anguish to happiness was something! I remember that I smiled along with him. 💙
The acting capabilities of these two is just amazing. For such a climatic moment Edvin’s mastery of the role, his talking, his pauses, his glances all are impecable and develop the scene to a higher level. The looking into the camera at the end is so haunting, it is begging us into a new future, a new tradition.
This is one of three critical shows that #Netflix has produced. Whilst Love, Simon was break through movie, and Love, Victor an important follow up by Disney+ (although they were too nervous about it initially and moved it elsewhere), the three international productsions, Young Royals, Heartsoppers and Heartbreak High, three different countries, are the leaders in the LGBTIQ+ youth narrative series in 2022 for me.
The way Wilhelm turns to Simon, smiles at Simon and before he’s turned around his expression is back to determined and then the tiny smirk at the end is just perfect. Wilhelm finally said “eff around and find out”. I can’t wait to see what’s behind that last expression.

In the first season he has shown us how to love . But he was a coward to show the world as it was really scary for him . He was experiencing so many things at a time ...
But in S2 he showed what really is love , commitment , revenge , passion and just pure souls in love . I love his confidence in the second season. So satisfactory . It's a totally recommended series . Show young royals more n more love . As they totally deserved it .. fingers crossed for season 3 ✨♥️🤞

Throughout this whole season I kept saying to myself that the only way for this relationship to be resolved is if he Willie made a grand romantic gesture by coming out about their relationship in public. There was no other way for this to be fixed. And then when Simon said he was ok with keeping it a secret until Willie turned 18 I was like "ah, no grand romantic gestures then." Only to be blown away by this grand romantic gesture. :D
