    I am from Assam, where tea was first discovered in India in 1823. My state alone produces 55% of India's total tea and 18% of global tea production, so tea is everything for us!

    The drug addiction problem was real bad in China. Some people say that China fell behind by 50 years(if not more) because of addiction. It is reflected in their current laws as well because China has amongst the most brutal laws against possession of drugs. A milligram more, just a milligram more than the permitted amount (you will be scrutinised for that as well) will decide whether you're gonna live or die.

    Actually and factually tea was discovered in India around this time. It has larger leaves and Chinese tea had smaller leaves. Singpho tribes of Assam used tea way before the British came. It was popularized as a drink by the British. Fun video though.

      Tea plants in assam were wild and British had no knowledge of them. The tea trade came from China. The first saplings for tea cultivation were brought from China and planted in Darjeeling way before it was begun in Assam, which at that time didn't even exist as a province to begin with.

      @@meamanraj calling the people of Assam as “tribal” is similar to calling them uncivilised. The tee plant grew in Assam for sure grew as wild and used as medicine but for sure was not consumed the way the Chinese did and used even though they too use it for medicinal way and they have more than thousand varieties of tee. History writing was a very important job in the Chinese emperors court they had huge records many for sure got distorted for various resources. Therefore when you say to Chinese man that China a 5 thousand years of continuous history they would replace by saying that China has 3 thousand years of written history.

    An early credible record of tea drinking dates to the third century AD, in a medical text written by Chinese physician Hua Tuo. It was popularised as a recreational drink during the Chinese Tang dynasty, and tea drinking subsequently spread to other East Asian countries. Portuguese priests and merchants introduced it to Europe during the 16th century. During the 17th century, drinking tea became fashionable among the English, who started to plant tea on a large scale in British India.

    Achara is the most sensitive person, let alone sensitive British, who understands deeply how other people feel, and I can never imagine her throwing mean comments at anyone. I think it's time Jaby should realize that passing mean comments to her over n over again, since she's half British, is not funny anymore!
    It almost got me, how little that made Achara feel, and still she didn't disgrace him over the record.

    • @SheeK98
      @SheeK98 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Totally agree. I feel like Achara gets bullied for being half British, but Jaby rarely acknowledges the terrible things that the US has done and is continuing to do which are currently harming the world. Achara seems like a very kind person who is also quite apologetic about the crimes her ancestors committed. It's not fair to just keep telling her that she did something when she clearly had no say, she wasn't even alive back then! And first of all she's mixed herself, so she is aware of Asia and the culture. She's also very intuitive and infact there's a lot about being Indian that she just gets because she is very tied to her mother's roots as well. I hope she doesn't take Jaby too seriously. You're doing great Achara, it's always a pleasure seeing you in videos!
