Have you considered using 50 pound fishing line instead of wire?
It actually cuts very smooth and doesn't leave any bumps in the soap and a whole role can be bought at walmart for about a $1.50?
I use it all the time and it works great!
Thank you for your nice comment, actually this is not less expensive, it has a mechanic for the handle move easly, it is not moving in the wood carving.

Also we tried the fishing wire is is loose easly, the wire is tiny and we think it is ideal, we try a lot 😄, also I am a soapmaker so I didn't have any problem with the wire, but if you want you can use it with fishing wire.

I've been on your etsy shop and seen all the lovely comments :) Would you mind sharing what size mold you used? Is there a maximum size soap slab that would fit on your cutter? BTW I am saving up to buy one :)
I use 32,5*22,4*8 cms are my molds sizes but for the version 2, 32,5 cm must be the soaps lenght but it can be more on the width, because one side of the cutter is not limited. When you purchase any thing add a note to your order and I will add someting extra for my colleuge 😊
