17 people evaluated for chemical exposure following acid leak outside Letterkenny Army Depot

A shelter-in-place order has been initiated at Letterkenny Army Depot due to a reported hazardous materials incident outside the facility's property, officials said Thursday.
The incident was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. Letterkenny Army Depot announced the shelter-in-place order across its property at about 9:45, according to Todd Wivell with the facility's Public Affairs Office.
The order was lifted at 12:45 p.m., Wivell said.
"Earlier today, an incident occurred at a facility leased to a private company outside of Letterkenny Army Depot property," the facility said in a post on its Facebook page. "However, a shelter-in-place is in order across Letterkenny Army Depot, and we are taking 100% accountability of all personnel."
