It looks like saint Saturn rebelled against imu by not destroying emeth 200 years back , looks like Gorsei can do things without imu knowing . It's just like vegapunk and his satellites and seamlessly ties in with the themes of this arc .

I'm fearing that these strings of failure is in relation with Imu. Reminder that our protagonist is revealed to have a power related to a "comically good" god in relation to his cartoony nature. There is a possibility that Imu possess a power related to a "comically evil" god to mirror Luffy.
So what I'm going with here is that all of the comically evil things that the World Government/Marines (like that bitch burning Kuma's letter to Bonney) have done over the course of the series might have something to do with the nature of Imu's power and got indirectly affected by it.

Not only that, but Saturn was clearly upset about something when he gave the order to kill clover and destroy OHara.

Let me preface. It's a lot to digest all at once, I know. But think about it. Who gave Ginny the snails and told her about the prizes? Who caused the God Valley incident? The person who ordered Hachinosu's treasure, stolen, right? After God Valley there was never another hunting game.
Saturn showed concern for York's safety above punk records. He cared more for the person, than the brain or the weapon. He told the Marines to not go after Bonney. He let Kizaru go after Sentomaru. He forgave Kizaru for sitting on his butt. He told the Marines to not shoot while he gave a big long speech. When Kuma showed up, he then made a weak attempt to kill Bonney. He called a buster call on his own people. He finally did stab Vegapunk, but he knows the brain is still alive in Punk Records. Then he gave the BB pirates sensitive information, letting on that the WG knows BB's lineage. A big misstep...
And then... his eyes got all googly, and his limbs all noodly, he started spinning around like a top, and spitting biju bombs. Is that REALLY the same Saturn? Or is that possibly Imu piloting Saturn, after getting fed up with voice chat?
That has been my take since it happened. I just didn't realize Saturn was likely a good guy until several weeks later. When I was thinking about the scene where he first saw G5 Luffy. The fact that he always has this deadpan expression gives him a flawless poker face. You can't tell how he truly feels. All you get is his words, and they're biting, but his actions are speaking a different language entirely. The icing on top, is in this chapter, where he leads by doing the worst thing he possibly could, in front of the assembled VA's on Egghead. We find out he was behind the Robot, and then he literally speaks the name "Imu", in front of the assembled VA's, as he is burned alive. With his literal dying breath, he spoke rebellion.
Vegapunk was very kind to the Gorosei in his message. Coud it be because he was able to glean what was going on from their interactions? That Saturn had his hands tied even moreso than he? Perhaps he himself had witnessed an instance of blatant self-sabotage, and it made him realize that there's someone in Saturn's ear, making him do stuff he doesn't want to do.
Saturn could be responsible for giving cover to Roger's legacy in Shanks. If he's really good at heart, I can see him using his position to shield and obscure Shanks' existence in his early days. It's possible he even notified Shanks that the gum gum fruit was on a government ship.
Anyway, I've rambled enough. Though there is a lot more to say.

You know I won't be able to re-read One Piece and look at every Saturn pre-timeskip appearance and take him seriously.
In the end all he did in the entire manga (in the present) was :
- Eat some sausage
- Turn into a Spider-bull
- Turn into a pancake
- Take more L
- Die

I think the Ju Peter thing is more so about the implications of what Imu did, more than Garling. Garling is just another CD in their eyes.
People keep talking about Ju Peter being the youngest, but I just think it means he was the youngest at the point where he became a gorosei and received immortality. Like garling is old af now for human standards but will now be immortal. I would still guess that Peter is older than garling even though garling looks way older. Peter was also 1 on the circles (although that could mean nothing).
I think the more they use Imu's powers the more they age and Saturn being the lowest rank of 5 meant he had to deal with problems more often and thus aged more than Ju Peter. I mean did we actually see the other 4 Gorosei 200 years ago, or at God Valley?
@ChaseDDream we haven't seen Anything other than Saturn's story as it was connected to kuma and bonnie. I'm sure we will get the numbers figured out

Also Saturn was on God Valley 38 years ago in chapter 1096 after Kuma ate the Paw Paw fruit.
I don't think any other Elders have been shown in the past, Mars just recognized Emeth.

5:41 I think the whole thing about heads being popped off is dumb. The fodder navy that Saturn first used it on didn't even get his head popped off, he just got blown back and his head was obscured in the position he was drawn in.

Garling won't be a zoan werewolf with Jabra and Yamato being werewolves already. The Yokai Bakeneko is who you should look at Syv, especailly as a cat person who knows about the dawgs in the Vice Admirals.
I'm going to look into that. I was thinking garmr the Norse guardian hound of hel. He kills tyr who I think shanks takes a lot of inspiration from and plays a big roll in ragnarok. But I was totally going for a shanks connection lol

It does seem like the Gorosei, despite being controlled by Imu, have a will of their own. This arc has been about the strength of wills and overcoming control with will. It happened with Kuma, the Seraphim, Vegapunk, Bonny, etc. And now we see Saturn’s will was the thing that ruined Imu’s plans and why he had to die. I’m curious to see what will happen moving forward because we saw that Garling’s will is ruthless with how he executed Mjosgard. I expect the Gorosei to be much more aggressive moving forward. It’s also interesting to me that Ju Peter is always the one that looks the most worried so I wonder if he is the most traitorous in terms of his will.
Ju Peter being potentially a traitor has been considered by some already because of some chapters that mirror Doflamingo and his crew and Imu with his servants.

Hey Syv, thank you for keeping us all up to date with all things manga but i would love for you to do a review of the latest anime episode ... we just heard imu's voice and my god the mystery around it is killing me!

The level of failure Saturn achieved is impressive😅 Totally at odds with the aura he had given off before.
I think the Goresi potentially not having lived through Void Century, being Celestrial Dragons and living so long removed from war/battle has made them complacent. Saturn prioritizes science over Void Century [Keeping Emmith on one piece, keeping Kuma alive, thinking Vega punk tech is a win over Vega punk message]. He verbalized some level of hesitation to use Ancient Weapon and generally the Goresi don't directly take actions when they can get Marines to do thier bidding.
Based off of Garling's behavior as we have seen him. He will likely be more proactive in using York to create weapons. Instead of allocation to Marines to command, he may more eagerly directly command Pacifist and Serophin.
Saturn attacks Doberman cause he just unintentionally poked his most sensitive wound. He’s pissed about everyone in the world now asking that same question and for Doberman to just say it to his face, he’s pissed and he lashes out like a child

It's notable that all the gorosei except Ethan never actually fight outside of their giant monstrous forms, and when they fight they only seem to use very simple techniques and brute strength.
I think the four elders may be not very strong by themselves, and their enormous amount of haki or occult abilities are only extension of Imu's true power.
Ethanbaron V. Nasujuro always looks like the outlier amoung them, perhap he is the only one with great combat experience before going through the process of becoming an elder?

Garling i feel is the least rusty in terms of combat power. He will be very hard to hurt to start with due to knowing he could die. His instincts have not been dulled from centuries of peace
If we really think this we see what going on, Garling seem someone as alway eyeing the Gorosei positions and never really respect them and probably thought you could do just as good job or maybe better and now Garling got promoted to Gorosei and he as imu favor and top of that he know none of the Gorosei can say anything about it, he's just showing off in front of them and the thing that Garling is going to make the decision for the time being for the Gorosei for 2 reason the faer off being killed if they fail and hoping Garling fail and they can capitalize on that and get all the glory for themselves, the funny ping is that this is basically telling us that Dragon plan is going to fail because I can't see Garling fail in his first decision he make and we all know that is going to sent out the Holy knights
