Wow im truly amazed at all the hard work, and all of the attention to detail that is needed to complete such a rebuild like this. No detail was overlooked.👍👍👍👍
Attention to detail? They didn't even polish. Not saying the rebuild wasn't an impressive feat but they didn't go overboard by any stretch of the imagination. It's still just a regular ole butt-ugly Cascadia
It's just incredible !! He rebuilt almost the entire truck! Impressive is the method he must use to remember where each part and function fits and works again !!! Congratulations!!!

Watching a documentary of trucks being built on the assembly line, with parts being put on by a plan in a specific order, with big tools, looks easy. This though, is a job with regular tools and maybe no assembly data/book to show what goes where is a beast to tackle. Well done guys, well done!

Bei uns wird sowas als wirtschaftlicher Totalschaden von der Versicherung tot geschrieben da es sich nicht rechnet das instand setzen zu lassen, allein die Arbeitsstunden würde ein neuen Truck bezahlte machen.

I'd say not considering it's the most common truck in America, so parts are readily available and cheap.

I can buy a great truck with 300k miles on it for around $20k-$30k I would never want to rebuild a totaled truck like this. Not worth it.
@@ItalianStallion1415 there are no trucks that are 30k and have only 300k miles on it. If a truck has only 300k miles it will cost almost 70k so stop lying
@@ItalianStallion1415 depends on insurance excess, insurance value on the vehicle, millage, spec, newbuild waiting lisits times and labour rates.
most owner drivers its a no brainer to replace, but to a haulage company with set labour rates for their mechanics prob not.
in the uk a bear cab is £12k, doors about £2k,exhust systems £26k with adblue but thats new prices. The hgv unit itself is £120k upwards depending on spec.

@@mercpindi5522 any issues with the dd15 im upgrading from classic xl to a cascadia but i hear horror stories about dd15.
@@shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... no because it was 2019 model. I drove it last year. Got nice leather seats, sports body kits, lowered, fully loaded basically with very low miles. Never had a single problem. Cascadia is a nice truck.
@@shhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... but let me tell you volvo is better than cascadia. Especially the 2021. Currently driving that...ride and acceleration is so smooth compared to cascadia...easy to drive like a car and back up...plus the big mirrors...oh also d13 volvo engine is 1000 times better than dd15. Buy the new volvo you will love it.

you guys did a great job there... I wonder though, does this type of repair restore the structural soundness of the body back to original or are there some issues that appear later on? I have seen videos of semis in wrecks that you could swear the driver did not survive and often wondered about the structural design of the cabs being inadequate in some instances. Thoughts?
I don’t know about other rebuilders but some of our trucks have already been to accidents after we worked on them and I didn’t notice any difference in structural soundness.
Great work! What is the cost of restoring a semi in labor alone? Do you have a target amount you will spend on a project ie no more than 20k that produces you X$ in profit?

That was a job well done keep it up, But I have a question the chassis looked like it's taken a bad hit, how safe is this truck going to be? How so ever good the realignment it will never be to factory specifications.
Is truck has been on the road for more than a year, no problems so far.
