The old h190 just had enough. H233 out of Nissan Pathfinder and can be found with factory posi and disk brakes for way cheaper than what people want for 9"
@@preachers4135 I know you can shut down in gear. I typed or ended up with in. If vehicle won't shut off then use neutral is what should have said/post/typed.
I heard Rice Krispies: snap crackle pop, followed by the tale tale jack hammer, then the parking pawl screech. With my eyes closed I could tell that was a differential that just gave up the ghost.
Def the diff… the the parking lock was clicking…. It has a line lock kit on it so the rear brakes aren’t holding… puts some strain on tranny but not as much as actually hooking up and launching

Lots of mistakes were made. Hopefully, they were learning lessons. Some folks don't learn lessons on the first, second, third, or more. Nice looking truck though.

You need to change out the 7 1/2" gears for a Detroit positrack with 8" 3.73 ring & pinion gears. Also new stronger drive shafts.

You can shut a vehicle off or neutral sometimes is necessary.
Actually you can shut them off in any gear.
One caveat: if it has an Allison transmission DO NOT turn the key back on without first coming to a stop.
