Nice! I have very mature overgrown loquat trees near Tallahassee FL. What can I do now to help bring them back to a good size for consistent production. Is there any hope for them?
So, I should prune in early spring? I have a struggling loquat that I planted last October. It’s starting to bud right now, though (Sept 6). I’m in Mississippi, Zone 8.

I prune mine as soon as I harvest the fruit so it has time to produce more fruiting wood for the following season
If you live in so cal I’d pay you to prune our tree.
Hard pruning is the right thing to do. You want to feed you and your family, not the birds.
Have u tried starting new trees from cut limbs?
I've tried but no success with cuttings. I've only been able to do it from airlayer and grafting.
If it stays at 6 feet tall, did the trunk get thicker or stay the same?
Around what year did you start getting fruit?
Year 4. I remember that I was thinking about removing it because I didn't see a graft line so I started thinking that it was a seedling.
I guess I'm kinda off topic but does anybody know a good website to stream new series online?
