President Biden is a long time supporter of Israel. He has plenty of political and electoral pressure at home to keep his mouth shut on this, if he thought the arguments were finely balanced. But instead he seems increasingly uncomfortable and increasingly saying the Israeli government's approach has been very wrong. US presidents don't say that easily, nor does he historically.

@@monet4y2k I think you go too far there. Just because he thinks there was/is a lot of corruption in Afghanistan and Nigeria does not mean he thinks the UK is perfect. But Britain WOULD do better than those countries by miles in any world corruption index.
I've read lots of suggestions that those countries had big problems with corruption, from all kinds of sources.
For example it was widely reported that Afghan generals under the previous regime significantly overstated their numbers of soldiers, then pocketed the extra wages.
I've not heard of any British general doing that in the last century at least, and it isn't even possible because British Army pay isn't distributed like that.
