    Heavenly Father,
As the sun rises and a new day begins,
I come before you with gratitude in my heart.
Thank you for the gift of life,
For the breath in my lungs,
And for the opportunities this day holds.
    Guide my steps, Lord,
And fill my heart with your love,
That I may reflect your light
    To all those I encounter.
    Amen.

I agree that the likely candidate for the adoptive mother of Musa is Hatshepsut. The candidate for Musa in the ancient Egyptian court is Senenmut who is also Hatshepsut most trusted advisor and confidant. According to the Quran, it was the queen of Egypt that had discovered the basket containing Musa which seems to suggest that that event happened during the reign of Thutmose ii. Hatshepsut was both the daughter of one pharaoh ie Thutmose I and the wife of another pharaoh Thutmose ii.
As they didn’t have a son, the sudden appearance of a boy on the shore of the Nile comes like a blessing from God. As Thutmose ii also had another son from a lesser with called Thutmose iii, it can be presumed that both Thutmose iii and Musa knew each other in the royal court of queen Hatshepsut. Senenmut has significant influence over Hatshepsut and was the main advisor to her. I suppose the relationship between the queen and her adopted son would entail such a close relationship especially when she didn’t have a son of her own. After all the meaning of Senenmut is mother’s brother and the would be many bust of Senenmut holding the infant Neferure, the only daughter of Hatshepsut from Thutmose ii. .
Based on Egyptian records, Senenmut disappeared from the court of queen Hatshepsut in the 19 regnal year and that may be due to the incident with the Egyptian guard who had beaten the Israelite slave. The departure of Senenmut aka Musa, undeniably would have been a very difficult blow to Hatshepsut and would have marked the waning of her reign with the growing Thutmose iii taking over more and more authority of the throne of Egypt. That perhaps led also to her demise which until today is shrouded in mystery.
With Musa away in Midian, Thutmose iii became more and more despotic and cruel and many years would have passed until God commanded Musa to return to Egypt to free the Israelites.
In Islam we believe that the adoptive mother of Musa is a very noble woman and the Quran makes specific reference to her.
Also while there are many similarities in the Bible and Quran’s account of what happened but they’re some notable differences. For example the Bible talks about a high number of Israelites leaving Egypt with Musa but in the Quran it talks only about a small band following Musa.
This issue of the number of followers of Musa is a big issue and many historians remarked that it would impossible for millions of people traversing the Sinai desert escaping from pharaoh and his army. In the Quran it mentions the number only a small band hence it is more logical that they could run away from pharaoh.

I’m reading the comments and everyone one has a different view because this story was mentioned in 3 different religious books . We should look at the bigger and underlined concept of each one ..even truth can be in lies, but the understanding behind them all without division of things is ultimately the same! Every creation has a creator and we as ppl don’t always know everything just like I’m sure they didn’t then but building a relationship ( connection and prayer) with the most high ( creator) can find understanding & really everything we need. Religion can be division when the truth of the matter we are all one . These ancient stories are lessons remembering either past or present for future . WE MAKE ERRORS TO SAVE MORE ERAS!!!! We are all followers til we can lead & right now youth is future and we have a lack of knowledge, understanding leading to wisdom because they are stuck in the matrix of tel & electro molds of perception of life ( who and how they should be ) fasting isn’t just for food , health, insight, blessings, or religious matters but certain more or less things in this world that can draw us first and foremost from self because if I don’t know I how could I know anything else in this universe!… Anyways Love , peace ,& blessings to all souls who read .

Egypt was a matrilineal society. There would be a queen. After she died her eldest son would be king. Than one of his younger brothers would begin to dispute with his older brother. When his older brother died he would become king. Than when he died his favorite daughter would become queen and so on. Mother to elder son to younger son to daughter. The second king would show himself by disputing with his older brother just like what happened between Moses and his older brother. When his older brother died Moses became king. His daughter with the Cushite then became queen but by then they had left Egypt. Pharaoh left Egypt in the form of Moses.

But the bones of the royals from mummies show they were more European than modern day Egyptians who have 8% more subsaharan DNA. So if Moses looked like a prince then he looked more like Gaddafi than Idi Amin. Blacks were brought all over the globe in slave trades long before the whites enslaved them. Even in Egypt they existed but some were free people who lived in areas that were part of the Egyptian kingdom of the time.
