  • Head to head matchup between the Milwaukee m18 2848-20 and the Snap-on CTINF9050 tire inflators. Today we match them up in speed and noise testing to see how they perform. I also cover key differences as well as my opinion on options and cost. Enjoy!

Snap-On makes great tools. The exception, is their battery powered tools. They CAN'T compete with Milwaukee on performance, warranty and especially price.

I bought the milwaukee. I needed air in a small 10 inch tire. It needed to go from 15 psi to 50 psi. I was absolutely shocked! It took 5 seconds. Not a typo. FIVE seconds! It's a small tire, but that was totally unexpected. I get it if you don't believe that, so do yourself a favor and buy this inflator and test it yourself. Think I'm going to let air out of something and test some more.🤙

I just bought the Milwaukee and am waiting for it to be delivered. I will only use it at home to top off tires. I have an 12 volts inflator that connects directly to my car battery and draws up to 40amp current, and it can complete the top off you did from 10 to 38 psi for about 1 minute. I also do not want to keep an M18 battery in my car for the rare occasions of flat tires since the battery will degrade quickly in extreme cold and heat.

Just did a the same comparison at work today. Figured the guts inside would be the same, however that is a big no. Airing up 235/80 16 tires from 35# to 65#. The Milwaukee was able to inflate 3 tires to the Snapon’s 1 tire. With the Milwaukee finished with the 3 and Snappy only at 60lbs. So sad.

Would be great if people commented on the best air hose to tire valve attachment upgrade for the Milwaukee.
Great review... I esp liked the info on it fitting in the RAMbox. It would be so easy for Milwaukee to add a couple of USBs and lights. Milwaukee should provide the better hose end too and a deflator like the Makita has. They could make it the best inflator too for air mattresses and truck air bags etc. This would increase recreational sales. Adding 12 volts would be good too, as would plug for 120V AC. All that said the 20/40 duty cycle should be improved, the 20 min beinig fine, but the 40 min cool down is a bit too much.

It’s hard to compare a product that came out over 5 years ago with one that is new to the market at time of this recording. You’d expect the way newer tool to be better just based off of how fast power tools are improving year after year. I have neither but I know I’ve seen that Snap-On around for many years now and I’d be shocked if they weren’t working on an updated unit now that they released a handheld inflator.
