      Eat some fish spring rolls. My family does it with sheepshead slow cooked whole on the grill. Add some small fried shallots and some type of flavored oil ontop of the fish afterward and you got a meal.

    YOU TWO are KILLING me!! I loved watching the prep along with the explanation about cleaning up the fish if you are going to refrigerate overnight before cooking. Everything about this video came thru right on target. Audio was perfect. The "boxes" of vegetables growing was pretty cool too. You two are very creative and Fun to watch. Keep up the good work. Wishing I had some Egg rolls RIGHT NOW!! hahahahaha... Have Fun!!

    My main culture is Laotian and I grew up rolling eggrolls with my dad. Usually we do pork (sometimes shrimp) and he always gets excited if we have some extra filling because then we would wrap them in the rice wrappers and only him and i would eat them like its our reward from rolling all the eggrolls for the family 🤣.

    As you are adding the fish/crab mixture to the wrapper, add a little mint leaf. That way you won’t over power the mixture. Mint adds a fresh aromatic flavor to the roll. Just a little.

    Love your video Chef! My wife is an expert in making egg rolls and spring rolls and steam cabbage rolls (same like egg roll but use cabbage leave soaked in hot water as wrapper and then steam them with the same ingredients as egg roll ingredients inside). Ingredients she use is meat (any meat, ground beef, pork, chickens...etc) or shrimp or fish or crab (whatever you want in your egg rolls), cabbage and carrots or any veggies you desire and chopped or shredded them small enough, and eggs, and mix them well then season to meet your taste bud. Spring rolls she mixed the rice flower with water and cook the wrapper herself, hot wrapper wrap with tasting ingredients (this the ingredients has to be cooked ready before you make the wrapper) and eat them while is hot and warm, yum!

    Yea! Glad you can fish again....stay safe XD
    edit: that was a male dunges....you should tell people each time how to spot the difference in male and female crabs for new viewers. :) Can you show how to gut a fish? I don't think I've seen that on your channel before :P
    great camera work, editing and music during the prep stage was amazing too good volume levels for the chopping and music...always good editing and sound...i don't have to touch my volume like on some other channels i follow.
    I've had lobster egg rolls before....it was great....crab sounds good too. Also like the garden part, make it longer. I really like the garden part, it needs to be longer I want to see the plants not get a tiny glance XD told my elderly mom about the self watering stuff....she decided to buy some pots like that XD

  • @pkendall99
    @pkendall99 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    My uncle used to put shrimp and ground pork in his eggrolls at the family restaurant. You need to press/salt the carrots, cabbage, bean sprouts,, etc to draw out the water.. so it won't be so "wet" inside.. veggies have a better crunch and you can freeze the excess rolls for later.. that's proper eggroll making.. Crab rice wrapper rolls look insane. wanna try it with lobster..

    Northern Viet cuisine often makes cha gio with rice paper instead of egg roll paper. Try the next batch with clear noodles, mung bean "mien" instead of the usual rice noodles and the texture will be much more crispy. We usually do it with minced pork and minced shitake mushrooms.

    I can't wait for crab season to open again!!! Last night I made up some rock cod that my buddy gave me. He filleted them, I think he used a spoon??
    No complaints, he shares and all I have to do is remove the rib bones. My wife can no longer eat a lot of things so the crab is completely out and so are egg rolls. She can eat the fish so I can't use it but she is allergic to the crab so I can see a lot of rice paper crab rolls next season. Great vid and instructions.

    you should use 1.5 rice papers when you roll, add the additional half at the beginning part where you place your meat, it will help the rice paper hold its shape much better and adds additional crunch. But this is awesome, I'm def going to give fish and crab a try now!
