@@moisescastillo217 Well yes but no, physics doesn't permit something so light to go at 200 mph, after around 30, there would be so much turbulence from the wind that the tires wouldn't get traction and the whole car would probably lift, that Is if you could even find a motor fast enough.
@@JRLdesigns well, probably how the aerodynamics works, something so fast will need downforce, but better don't be a lot of downforce because of the speed deficit. The RC car that made world record wasn't so big at all and was so simply physically (of course it's needed a lot of physics for design the chassis)
Tire tip! Kev, nice videos, always watching them from end to end. Don't normally get to watch them so soon after you upload though so hopefully you'll see the comment. Tape/cover/seal the breather holes on the wheels. This will reduce the ballooning of the tires. Should help with the 100mph offroad build. Ta

But you can get upgrades fairly cheaply like a decent size 2s lipo & a lipo charger + setting the esc too lipo mode. Depending on the battery size you go with & your use of the throttle you can expect 20 - 45 minutes, on drift wheels you can get pretty long battery life as you don't put much extra load on the car really other then rpms
I recently got my first drift car, I got a Traxxas 4tec 2.0, pretty decently priced, durable, and the second you throw drift wheels on it, holy shit is it a drift car and a half.

I just got one month ago. They have gone up in price by $10-20. I suggest the aluminum upgrade kit as the suspension A-frame breaks easily. I'm waiting for my aluminum kit to come in now...

I have found that on those WLToys controller you can put a large zip tie around the handle such that it can rotate and the 'lug' on the cable tie limits the travel of the throttle. Good for kids learning ... slower = less broken stuff. Rotate 'lug' out of the way for full throttle.
I have this car its really good only issue is the metal wish bone upgrades don't actually fit on it so you will have to get plastic ones apart for that mit little car and brill with drift wheels on it

They are awesome, unfortunately both batteries died after just a couple months, so I’m going to have to order a few new batteries for them
