- In this weeks episode we venture to India and head straight for Rishikesh: The Yoga Capital of the World. We acquaint ourselves with India by diving head first into a street food tasting mission. We wonder the busy, bustling streets and take a sacred dip in the river Ganga. We had absolutely no idea what India had in store for us when our trip took a dangerous and life changing turn.

Ahhh... this is so beautiful. Made me cry. I am from India but I live in Canada. My deepest desire at this moment is to be at Rishikesh. That space is so sacred. Thank you for sharing

A very good excursión of Rishikesh, thank you. I spent a good time in Ram Jhula, and so did you, I see. And your precious little one took dips in the very cold Ganges, and didn’t flinch, wow!
nice video. I lived there for a few years back in the early 80's. Was a very different place then.

One night travel from Delhi. Many UPSC aspirants go there for renewal, revival or rejoice! I am an stone hard atheist and i sincerely felt a personal connection with the place. May be the supposed sacredness since the ancient India is still reverberating. Whatever, all i say is, there is simply no going ‘once’ for Rishikesh. You go there and you are tied and tethered for life. And when you are there, don’t miss sitting in the Beatles Cafe listening Pink Floyd, Eating hot Pizza and watching the Cold Ganga flowing in serenity. Life will be on pause. You will hear your inner voice. And that never stops giving clarity.
As an ethnic Indian living outside India, I can't bear the chaotic Indian streets whenever I go there.

Happy you and Sophy are ok. Wow, things always happen for a reason. When it's time to go India makes sure in a dramatic way that you go. It's a hot energy spot on earth. You'll return. I just returned from rishikesh was there for 31/2 months during the pandemic lockdown. loved video. The accident was also saying, don't wear loose flowing skirts on a motorbike they get caught in the spikes.

I love that you took two weeks off after the incident. Many people don't have that luxury, or even worse our culture views it as abnormal when we retreat and grieve. ❤️

I have travelled all over India in all the directions but Rishikesh is the place I want to be all the time...
It's so calming soothing and rejuvenating for.all senses and brings Peace upon me. Bathing in the morning in the Ganges , offering the arghya to Sun and sitting and meditating on the quiet banks is so fulfilling.

@@Lucy-ch4pm I was in Delhi in February and arrived in Rishikesh March 12th...then got locked down. I returned to the US 6/26/20 on a repatriation flight via KLM

Enfield Bullets are very powerful bikes and its very dangerous to have your clothes pulled into its wheels. Always make sure that clothes or luggage dont get pulled in and also fit a mesh on both sides of the back wheel.

I am from Canada and my last visit to Rishikesh was 10 years ago. My relatives were worried about me travelling alone there, but you are very brave to take your little child to this isolated place in the foothills of the Himalya. Enjoy your experience there.
Hi Sanjay, going to Rishikesh is not a decision but an arrival or call. It’s a holy land that destined not for many. When it arrives in you just make a trip and leave the rest to God. All will be well in His grace, make a trip and be blessed in your journey.
