Just bought a used PM66 that was made in '90. Thanks for the tips Pete.

Is that the original splitter and blade guard? I have a PM66 but no splitter or blade guard and can’t find anything aftermarket.

Yes, that’s the original splitter / blade guard. You may be able to find one by posting on Facebook. There are some Powermatic groups there. Maybe someone has one sitting in there shop gathering dust. Thanks for watching!

2:45 - I do not condone White Lithium grease as a lubricant given that the wood dust will cling to the grease and cause the grease to congeal, and it becomes a real mess to clean. I would use WD 40 or dry lubricant. Thin oil like 3 in 1 is a good bet.
All in all, like all machinery, preventative maintenance is planned maintenance and it can be once a month or every 3 or 4 months, depending on the number of hours in use. Thank you.

      Thanks for the constructive feedback.
Will try a different lubricant next time.
      Thanks for watching.
