Thank you, Nancy! I always try to review the city as well as the hospital. It’s important to know what it’s like to work & play in a location. Thank you for watching!
Thank you and your fellow nurses for all that you do. I’m in an Aeromedical evacuation unit in the Air National Guard and see first hand what you guys do. Sounds like a super busy place to work, enjoyed the review
Hi friends. Those food trucks look great. The discharge suite sounds like a well thought out concept. ER holds sound like they could be tough! Sorry you had such a difficult time there. Glad you're able to move on to another contract. That sounds like a definite benefit of the travel nurse life...being able to leave things behind you and start fresh with the next contract. Glad you're able to keep on moving on!
Yeah, sometimes you get a tough assignment. I like to say I can do anything for 13 weeks, but I had to draw a line with this one. Now we’ve moved on and are in a better spot. It’s one of the beauties of this line of work. Thanks for watching.
We know these videos are geared more toward our medical followers, so we appreciate you watching!!! This was a tough assignment, but we’re on to better things.
I have always wondered about this 'Traveling Nurse' thing. It sounds like there is a lot of things to consider before one would want to chose a career path like this. I will be waiting for Part 2 of the saga. ;) Stay safe friends!
There’s definitely some romanticizing when one talks about travel nursing, but there’s certainly more to it. We love to travel, but moving & starting a new job every 3 months isn’t for everyone. Thank you so much for watching! Will be posting a follow up soon.
15th! Interesting how much you have done in your time. Sorry about the early cancelation and the situation you were placed in- look forward to more details about it.
We had no idea what you were taking about sometimes, but we aren’t nurses. 😂 It sounded like you were way over worked in the ER. That seems dangerous. I would have left as well. I hope your next assignment is better. Thank you for what you do. ♥️
Thank you for all of your service, especially during this time. This was a great review and I think it will be helpful to others that are travel caregivers. Blessings Sherry
Thank you so much! We really appreciate the love and feedback. We’re just trying to give other nurses an honest take on my experience. Thank you for watching.
L&D nurse here - non traveler. 1st your video was great, so informative, I worked my share of Med/Surg and Discharge Suite sounds like a dream come true ❤ I know this is certainly hindsight, but is there a way to not have to go to ED Hold (sounds terrifying 😮) officially in your contract, or is that just part of the “Float” part of your Med/Surg contract? Also did you run into any travel L&D nurses or know if they as well have to float to ED Hold or just to Mother/Baby? Thanks again- great video!
Great questions. As a traveler, it’s expected that you’re the first to travel. However, you are “supposed” to float to a comparable unit. For instance, as a Med/Surg nurse Id never float to L&D except just to task. His particular contact mentioned that I’d do Med/Surg & float for ER holds. I don’t recall running into anyone at this facility who worked in Mother/Baby. However, this is a HCA facility. They are notorious for running with high patient/staff ratios, minimal equipment, and little to no ancillary staff. They care about the bottom line. I’ll never work for another HCA facility and I caution other health care professionals who think about employment with them. Thank you for watching & for your nice compliment.
I’m glad you got some value out of it, even if it’s not a typical video of interest. We gotta make sure we’re representing for the nurse part of our channel. Thanks for watching!
I’m starting South Austin Tele unit in a couple weeks as a traveler. Anything to look out for? Or be aware of? I’m kinda nervous for working for a HCA.
Yeah, these videos aren’t for everyone. But, we gotta represent for the nurse part of our channel. Ooo, now there’s an idea...an energy drink catered to health care professionals entitled “Med/Surg”. I like it!!! Thanks for watching guys.
After my horrific experience at South St. David, I certainly wouldn’t return to that hospital. In fact, I won’t work for another HCA facility again. I’ve learned that HCA hospitals in general care about the bottom dollar & not the ones breaking their backs to help them earn it.
Who in the world started this ED-hold trend?!?! My personal record is 10 patients in one shift floated to ED holds. I felt like the conveyer belt at checkout! All I could do is keep them moving across and hand off as quickly as possible for fear of hitting a whammy or like russian roulette with sick people. It’s nuts!
Right?! It is definitely one position I will NEVER accept again. It’s crazy fast-paced and dangerous for my patients. This is how things get missed, errors get made, and people get injured (or worse)!
God Bless our Nurses !!! Great video. I loved the Austin description.
Thank you, Nancy! I always try to review the city as well as the hospital. It’s important to know what it’s like to work & play in a location. Thank you for watching!
🌼 Thanks for all you and all the medical folks out there do. Your family and you have been in my prayers and I will continue praying for all of you! 💙
You are so sweet Shanna! We appreciate your prayers and well wishes. 💜

Wow. That’s gotta be an interesting job. Thank YOU for your service and all you do for our country. Glad you enjoyed our review. Thanks for watching.
Soon to be new grad nurse here looking at possibly relocating to Austin, so this review was extremely helpful! Thank you ☺️
Thank you for watching. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for sharing your story and hospital review with us. Sounds like you did the right thing to protect your license. Good luck, Natasha.
Well, thank you so much for checking out my review. Family always comes first.
I really like your intro...Taking you to the next level. Teaser is nice to get there attention. Great video.👍
Thanks! We try to improve with each video. We really appreciate your feedback. Thank you for watching.
Thank you to you and all the fellow nurses and doctors for all that you're all doing during this time! Really great review and video! Stay safe! 😊❤️
It’s my pleasure. I love being a nurse. I just don’t love every hospital I’ve worked for. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for sharing! We always like honest reviews! Nurses have to go through so much! Thanks for what you do! ~ Shion and Matthew
We know these videos are geared more toward our medical followers, so we appreciate you watching!!! This was a tough assignment, but we’re on to better things.
Love your chats... glad at least part of the job was good
Thank you! I try to see the good in everything. Plus, I wanted to be honest in my review. Thank you so much for watching.
15! Wow! We love Austin but (thankfully) have never seen the hospital! Fascinating!
Yeah, I’ve been doing this gig for a long time. The city is definitely more enjoyable than the hospital! Thank you so much for watching.
Nail biter.... “to be continued”. Ahhhh, hope it’s working out for you guys and sounds like you made the right decision. Safe travels guys!
Gotta keep folks coming back for more, right? We have no regrets. We definitely made the right choice. Thanks for watching, friends.
Discharge suite...nice! Thank you and all other medical staff! Difficult times for sure!! 🤗🙏🏻
That discharge suite is pretty awesome, but it wasn’t a good fit, overall, for me. Thank you so much for watching.

It’s been quite the adventure for sure. I’ll be sharing the details very soon.
Great review. Thanks for doing what u do. Kent and Tami
Thank you so much for watching! I know these videos don’t appeal to all our subscribers, so we really appreciate you checking it out.
Great insight into a Traveling nurses life.
Thank you so much. We appreciate you watching.
Great review!
Thank you so much!
I'm sure this review is going to be quite useful to other traveling nurses out there.
We certainly hope so.
Great review
Thank you so much for watching! We’re done with season 1 & 2. Just gotta like & comment.
First👀my friend😎

Thank you for much for watching.

I try not to speak in all that medical jargon, but sometimes it can’t be avoided. We truly appreciate you watching!!! You guys rock.

Very informative even to a non nurse

The units themselves were pretty great! Just be ware if you ever float to the ER to do inpatient holds. That was a dangerous environment for me.
Oh I hit that sub, like and bell.
You guys are the best. Thank you so much!
Love Austin. You said a lot of stuff that went over my head! Hey!?! That wasn't a short joke😋 I like that word medsurge. Sounds like an energy drink.

Hmmm yeah and I bet those ER Med Surg holds are pretty high acuity too. Were the residents well managed in the ER- sounds like a no to me
If it weren’t for working doing to ER holds, I would have finished out the contract. It was wild.
Hi.. Friend I am RN in UK.. Really, interested watching your vlog. Ratio 1:5 cool. New friend here.
Hello new friends. Thanks for coming by to check us out. What kind of ratios do you have on your medical units in the UK?
I'm on the edge of my seat, and you pretty much said, "To Be Continued...." are you ever going to tell us what happened, that "one time?"
LOL. I guess I DID leave a cliffhanger there. Yes, I do plan to tell my story. Might do that one next week. Thanks for watching, friends. 💜
She signed a non disclosure agreement. Punishable by working there for life. LOL
I am moving to Austin soon.. debating if to work at the north or south St. David.. any thoughts?
After my horrific experience at South St. David, I certainly wouldn’t return to that hospital. In fact, I won’t work for another HCA facility again. I’ve learned that HCA hospitals in general care about the bottom dollar & not the ones breaking their backs to help them earn it.

*We love Lake Conroe....bad to the bone..love you intro...move that neck girl*
Thank you so much. This one was a hard pass for the future. Onto better things. Thanks for watching.
Probably not. Austin is not my city. I’d rather be in SA.
We totally agree. We really enjoyed San Antonio & would pick it over Austin.
Sucks and might as well keep working there for free because they did not send ne 1 bill .
Yikes! That’s awful. We work too hard for it to be for free!!!
Hey hell no 😱😱😱
Right?! Not every job is a winner. Thanks for watching.
