I think mansoora is an incredibly selfish , she married sarwar when he was engaged to her sister in law, she let abdullah get abused by sarwar, she allowed her daughter to leave , and then she decided that mahjabeen was unfit because it hurt her ego , ughh I think she’s the true villan , because she is the most self involved character

But we do see her vulnerable side many a time plus she was abused by her first husband so outright calling her a villain does not do justice to her character. She sees Sarwar as her savior and doesn't want to get out of that delusion.

More than selfish, she is extremely insecure, perhaps because of the abuse in her first marriage. But agreed, not a great mother or bhabi. Pretty terrible actually

It serves a purpose because it shows that she tries extremely hard to look or at least age more gracefully while completely trying to ignore the fact that she’s much older than her husband. Mansoora thinks that if she takes care of herself looks all pretty people will also start noticing that the age gap isn’t that much even though it is.

Mansoora's character in PKS is extremely flawed. There's not a single person in her life that she has done right by, from her own children, sister in law to her employee(Munshi ji). Hers is a very grey-but-in-denial character.

    • @zahroohussain7460

Amna and Hassan rightly pointed out in the last show that we need to go beyond household problems in our dramas. There was a series named Guest House during the old PTV days. It was interesting and quite popular. Why can’t we make such drama series or serials today that are based on an hotel or an office life. We can have one on professional college life too, dealing with the pressures of competition. I am waiting for something that is light and entertaining yet dealing with important issues with crisp, quality comic moments. SH should interview writers , they need to asked why they shy away from unconventional drama content.

Imran Khan called writers a few days ago and talked about the issues in our dramas and how almost every drama is focusing on divorce. And our well known writers' responses were jo awaam dekhna chahti hai hum wohi dekhte hain. Another said , Imran khan ki khud itni talaaqein hui hain iss liye unko masla ho raha haii, warna ye koi issue nai hai. Jab in danishwaron ney mulk k PM ko esi baatein kahee hain to journalists ko to choren gey hi nai kuch kehnay pey.

I think Mansoora is more conscious about name sake, she’s just trying to hide the truth that Sarwar is character less. She couldn’t take stand for Mahjabeen neither her son is able to do so and finding the fact that her son is also not happy with her she want that girl out of her house, indirectly saving her without accepting the ugly truth. I think she can accept divorce or separation from her husband but he’s having bad intentions for her daughter in law is simply not possible for her to confront with her husband. That’s my opinion.

This episode of PKS was excellent. The best and most moving scene was at Mahjabeen's parents' house where the 3 family members are in different corners of the room, each hiding their pain from each other. It was so well done and showed their emotional suffering but also the way in which they are trying to protect each others' feelings . Seema did great in dismissing what the neighbours' would say and being readyto bring her daughter back into the fold and to protect her. It was a bit of a contrast to how Shanzay's father reacted when she initially returned home.
Really impressed with Washma's confrontation of her brother - someone had to tell him how it is!
I agree with Hassan that Mansoora was put off by Ahsan's father when they come for the rishta. The father's way of eating, the fact he was busy eating at all, and his lack of etiquette in a way in the circumstances, was discomforting for her. Though i didn't see a direct comparison to Mahjabeen, I can see how Mansoora would think that he was not refined or formal enough for her. I didn't see an attraction angle from him towards Mansoora.

Having a medical background, I was creeped out. Purely, hideous the way they show ICU emergency scene in every drama. stop giving room for error. Kabhi toh improve karna hai na ya room for error dete jao. Ese kaun sa doctor icu jata hai. Na emergency code na doctors ki team. Weird.

Abdullah is not completely over Mahjabeen in pyar key sadqey and as yumna zaidi also said in her interview with aamna that there will be an emotional journey of both protagonists till the last episode so as also when mahjabeen calls him so he wants to bring her back but sarwar is pressurizing him. Other than that I think so that Shanzey and abdullah will just be engaged and not get married and even he'll not divorce mahjabeen and abdullah will realize the truth and mahjabeen and abdullah will have a happy ending with sarwar getting punished, hopefully.

Absolutely agree with Hassan abt the dad being female version of Mahjabeen. The fact that He is hitting on Mansoora is part of how blunt and uncultured that man was. The writer wants to show Mansoora that ppl like Mahjabeen are everywhere and even Washma likes a man whose father is like that.
Also I wanted Amna to talk more abt Mahjabeen's scene just like Hasan coz they were absolutely a delight. Also the way Mahajabeen's mom and dad handle the situation, in fact Mahjabeen herself how she doesnt hide anything from her parents and tell them exactly what happened, how Sarwar tries to seduce her and all, was worth mentioning. Coz in every other drama where such harrassment/ abuse is shown, the victim fails to convey whats going on to ppl.around her so that it could be tackled before its too late. But here Mahjabeen, being not as brain smart as some others, knows well how to shut up Sarwar, runs off to tell her husband, thinking that he would protect her. And then later tells her parents. 👍👍👍. You should have commented on this aspect of the story coz thats how u solve problems by taking them headon, and not by just crying abt it and suffering in silence.
Also Mansoora wants Mahjabeen out,coz one , she did not like what Mahjabeen said abt her age and two coz she just wants to conveniently do away with her ....
Having said that I have a problem with the how Sarwar's Marriage with Mahjabeen is being considered possible. Sarwar is a mehram of Mahjabeen, even if she gets divorced, Sarwar's marriage is not allowed with her. I dont understand how Sarwar's mom and Mahjabeen's parents are oblivious. I can understand Sarwar trying to take advantage of her, coz he can't have her any other way. But their Marriage is not possible.
