- I filmed this video a while back. Its getting close to the time for me to finish my SMT10 so I am getting this video out first. I install the RH Designs short wheel base kit, wheelie bar kit, and sway bar kit.
Yes I know the ESC isnt right for the truck. I had that one sitting around so i put it in while I was waiting on my Hobbywing.

Yours rides straight mine has alot of torque twist? Even though I'm using the same sway bars as you are, and suggestions to help me out?

Finally got a SMT10 last night. Have the same plans to build it based on Trigger Kings Sport Mod class, even if I don't ever race it. Only thing different I'm doing is using Duratrax Munitions for wheels and tires.
The driveshafts remind me of when I extended the wheelbase of my Capra, little trial and error to get the right lengths. My Wraith 1.9 came with links for 12.3", even though they're plastic, may give em a go and see how like it shorter. Do need to get a wheely bar though. What pinion are you using with the 17t? Thanks ahead of time, man!👍👊🍻
I forget what pinion I'm running. its been so long since I opened it up. I think its the stock pinion from the SMT10
Great upgrades! Do your tires hit the trailing arms..!? I bout the Jconcept 2.2 2.6 Firestorm tires & with like to know if it solved the problem....Thank u again! 😎👍🏼
They very much hit those arms. Its a common problem.

Thanks! They are JConcepts Renegades. They fit a 3.6 and are 5.6 inches.

I just got a SMT10 for another truck I have for sportmod class in my group Monsters of DRCOR
Why would you want to shorten it? I know lowering it helps handling a ton but why shorten?
Looks mostly. It fits better with the body.
I also want to order the kit so I ask. I am not sure if I should get it in 12.5 or 13 inch
I dont know which one I have. I bought it second hand.
@ C.B.ONE , I have a smt10 and trying for a more scaled wheelbase of 12-1/2 in./12.5 , got a set of links that said 12-1/2 in. from CPE off ebay installed them, wheelbase was 11-11/16 in. NOT HAPPY.
@@rogerbeam3426 Ok, I have a set of links from So Cal RC which is about12,5" I also have the RH Designs set in 12,5"

Just picked up my SMT10 could I get links to the parts you used! I’m wanting to do a similar build. I have a Traxxas 240Kv brushless motor laying around that I’m tempted to throw in it but I’m not sure yet. There aren’t any competitive leagues for it in my area. I just wanted to do a really scale build!

Outsourced RC Got my sway bars and wheelie bar coming in the mail! Gonna keep the stock wheelbase! Going for a long low Grave Digger #12 style build!

if you press the truck down or the suspension, is the upper link rubbing against the drive shaft? because the upper links are straight with no bent like the ssd upper links or incision upper links.

Where is the Loctite ?
I go back after I film and put it on. That way it can site over night. I dont want to drive it with wet loctite.
The all plastic construction of things things makes me cringe, they will break so easily. :(
