You could try reaching out to Santosh (Indian Massage on TH-cam) or Tez (Indian Barber channel). Both are friendly and assisted Massimo of ASMR Barber in finding shops when he visited India for the first time.
Well, this isn't some hotshot saloon in a big mall complex type deal. This is a humble barber shop opening straight onto the roads. Most lower class barber shops are like this. I agree that India is a "horny" country but if you want you can definitely find peace and quiet if you look for it.

I really want to go to a busy highway and but up a sign that says honk I'd you love hooters. It will only take one American driver and you will have a pileup.

I asked some friends who grew up in India about the horns, and they said it’s to let people know they are coming because there is a ton of stuff in the roads like animals and people crossing. Also, a lot of the lights don’t work, so you have to let other cars know where you are.
I spend more time watching TH-cam than TV these days and it’s all down to quality channels like yourself, nomad barber, not to mention Sounds of Japan. It’s an absolute pleasure to watch something completely different

I hope you are able to visit the Truefitt and Hill place again in Mumbai. I don't know why, but I just love watching that video so many times. Must be the quietness of the room and some ASMR effect. And of course Kalim was just great.
Once the truck left at 10 minish mark you could hear so many more things. The kids laughing and playing and folks talking. Is there a pattern to when you upload? I saw this one on a friday which is awesome as it helps get rid of a crappy week. Many save a couple for bad world events.

It has happened before (in Paris) but it is very rare. Our most challenging filming experiences to date have been in Peru. At one barbershop we had filming pre-arranged and when we arrived, the barbershop was closed and the barber never came. We must have scared him off 😂 Thankfully we had help filming the videos in Cusco because we know those videos would have never been made without help :)
This video reminded me of two things that had puzzled me for some time: 1) why do barbers (world over) clean their blades against the opposing hand and not a towel? It just seems unsanitary. 2) So much use of the car horns. I'm surprised that their intended effect is not completely lost by now, as a result. Thank you for the video, Harry!

Harry, I read the description. Did you try to use deflicker on this? There's also heavy ghosting, if you've noticed. Nevertheless, it's the audio that really matters to me and it's OK.
Yes, we used deflicker and it took @100 hours to render with deflicker applied to the clips. Unfortunately, the deflicker caused the ghosting. It isn't ideal but I thought I would share what I could salvage :)
