    Funny that I was born and raised in Maryland,but never rode wisp yet. I've been to deep creek I the summer though. We do have a few lost ski areas. One of them is Orgeon Ridge,you pass it on the way to Roundtop, its off I-83 in Cockesville. You can see the old footers from a double chair,and poles from a rope tow. its about 140 vert. its only 30 mins from my house it \s abadass little spot to hike when we get snow which is kind of rare now a days. I have a little vid on my channel riding there a few years back.

      Great place! Agreed about snowshoe. Timberline has really stepped their game up to become the best kept secret in the area. New lifts and management. Headed to Canaan this season!

    Great work and it's funny seeing you do the on the way narration rolling down very familiar spots up and down 95. Thanks for doing this! We've just started skiing as a family in the region and we've been using your reviews to start picking spots.

    I see you drove through my old neck of the woods in Morgantown there at the start, would recognize exit 4 on 68 blindfolded, lol. You can actually exit there and take Rt. 7 to Canaan/Timberline if you are coming down from PA. It's a bit of a short cut, but lots of turns. I'll be heading to Wisp probably in early March with a couple of buddies when I'm up in PA on vacation. Used to drop down there and ski once in awhile while I lived just outside of Pittsburgh. That area has certainly changed a ton over the last 10-20 years. I can still remember in the 90s when Canaan was the hotspot, especially for DC skiers, but then they really built up Deep Creek. I'd rather ski Timberline any day over Wisp, but hard to argue with the amount of stuff to do there off the slopes compared to Canaan. I always did enjoy blasting down the mountain with the lake as the backdrop and from what I recall their diamonds weren't too bad, just a bit short if you came down with any kind of speed, but that's kind of an issue anywhere outside of Timberline and the glades section of Canaan that's never open unless they get a ton of snow. After I moved to GA my college friends and I used to meet up and rent a house in Deep Creek every year and just party and go snow tubing.
    Snowshoe next week? Man I am jealous, lol. I haven't been up there since early 2000s and from what I've seen in other vids they've totally built it up to mimic a Colorado/Utah ski town right there around the resort. Hopefully it won't be too crowded for you. Looking forward to that vid!

      lol good eye man! Always a blast in Morgantown! For a skiing first outlook, I definitely agree its tough to beat Canaan! Praying the lift lines are low at Snowshoe, but we will have fun regardless! Thanks for checking them out, subbed on your end as well!

    wisp might be one of my favorites, its been a few years since being there but it was a blast with family like you said. I hit liberty today, it's still lacking snow but there's no line at all so it's run after run which is nice. I'm heading to snowshoe for the first time after presidents day and have heard nothing but good things about it so I'm stoked.

    Dude, how did Wisp get a 3.3 and Liberty a 3.2? I think Wisp has a way better selection of trails to cover and less crowds. I really like your videos, it's nice to see some coverage of the ski hills in my area.

    • @ADHski

    • @ADHski
      @ADHski  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      awesome, I would suggest Timberline in WV if you're used to west coast skiing. Its right down the road from Wisp, but offers more difficult terrain, and Jan/Feb typically offers tree skiing. For entertainment value outside of the slopes, Wisp would be better
