I honestly don’t see what’s wrong with the framing device. Every says how much they hate it, but I honestly love it. I find old Indy funny and enjoyable to watch, and he’s what you would expect the character to be like in his 90s and retired.
@BROKENHOUSEFILMS Before he started directing, Joe Johnston was a techincal illustrator & storyboard artist on the first 3 "Star Wars" films. He also did storyboards for the effects shots in "Raiders of the Lost Ark". The man was an inspiration for me when I was a teenager. :-)
You should sell these on DVD! Just the Old Indy Parts. I am part of a new generation, 6 months ago I didn't even know there was an Indiana Jones series, untill I first saw these I didn't think these still existed, I consider these to be the best part of the series! Keep the videos comming! but consider a DVD.
This is not on any official DVD. All of the releases have the Harrison bookends and there were never any bookends for "Peacock's Eye". I traded with a guy in Swizterland for this recording in the late '90s so it's from my own collection.
Thanks StooTV!!! Please don't mind my additional info: The Old Indiana Jones Chronicles - Part 6: (includes bookends for) Chicago, April 1920 Chicago, May 1920 (later replaced by the Young Indiana Jones and the Mystery of the Blues bookends feat. Harrison Ford) Princeton, February 1916

Indy criticizing his grandson's music and playing.,"You may know 30 songs, but you play them all equally badly." Definitely sounds like something Simon Cowell would say.
I have always wondered what Old Indy would have said when lecturing someone about Raiders...now that would be a funny bookend.
I imagine it would start with him saying “This reminds me of the time I was in the jungles of South America, searching for a golden idol…”
I wonder if Spike is Mutt son? Makes sense the Jones genes!
Seems feasible.
It’s Sophie’s son and Caroline might be mutts’ daughter before he died.

Thank you for this! Every actor who played Indy was perfectly cast! George Hall rocks!!!!
LMAO this guy is hilarous.. he never stops wit the stories!! LOL

Good to see that even in his mid-90s Indy still doinncool things like riding a monster truck 🤠🚚

Actually the one with Harrison Ford came first. They obviously created new ones for if they ever had to rerun it.
The collection of guest stars astound me
I Only ever saw The mystery of the blues introduced by the Harrison Ford version of Indy. I never knew there was a second version with the OLD MAN.
And, if I live to be 93 I hope I am as cool as Indy is in that last scene!
I think the grandson is actually named Henry Jones the fourth
indy in a monster truck :)
run! nazis, ruuun!
I like the Harrison Ford Introduction to the this episode better.
But we do learn that Professor Henry Jones Jr. has a grandson...
...named 'Spike' ;)
I can't believe Indiana Jones's grandchildren founded Wyld Stallyns
I first thought the beginning was shaking from a earthquake (around 6.0)
I wonder if Indy talking to spike his Grandson and Sophie’s son help him get over come Mutts death?
Honestly, I really wish this was Canon again form the events of dial of Destiny.
@@Allenryan819 thank god they change the ending otherwise it’s would really contradict old Indy segments.

his name is spike? Spike Jones?! oh brother!!
Maternal grandfather
I’ve seen all the young Indiana Jones on TH-cam I don’t know why they took out old Indiana Jones from those videos.
Are you on The Raven? We were recently talking about that!
This is from the 2 part U.K. version.
So Mutt is Spike's father? I hope both characters are retconned.
P Ferreira in addition to Mutt Indy had another child, a daughter.
I've seen the Harrison Ford version of the mystery of the blues. does anyone know if he did any other episodes?
ssegrub nope only one.
No you screwball!
When did this episode air (the Chicago one)?? The only version I've ever seen is the one with the Harrison Ford bookends.
Albrecht Von Beck in the monster truck!
It's funny since the last Indy film killed off Indy's son before having Spike which means a continuity error. Way to go Disney!!!
Spike is Sophie’s son not to mention she appeared in this episode.
