    My grandfather had great stories, too. He was born in 1888 and traveled in Egypt, Turkey, and France in 1907 while working on ships to get to America. He was a great story teller right up to the end of his life in 1981. So many stories. I miss the old people and their adventures.

      I believe my grandfather Lord rest his soul would have enjoyed your grandfather's company. My most humblest apologies. I myself love Great Adventure films such as Indiana Jones and Alan Quartermaine even the Rocketeer, but of course I've always enjoyed one person who is my favorite super spy the name's Bond James Bond

      It is true but I'm really going to miss Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones when his final film comes out this year. But Harrison Ford will continue to do so much success as an actor. I want to thank Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for giving me the greatest adventurer of my life and I also thank my godfather for getting me interested in Indiana Jones and I could also thank my dad

      You also forgot that he fought against the Russians and by next month he will defeat the greatest war criminal in all of recorded history through the concept of time travel. And we also must give respect to James Mangold because without him Logan would not have been successful so I hope to God that Indiana Jones in a dial of Destiny will be his masterpiece because fans around the world who have seen Indiana Jones including myself are counting on him. But there is one person I need to be thankful for who got me influence in Indiana Jones and if I'm not mistaken it was my godfather God love him for influencing me in love with Adventure. Here is a quote for all the historical society's it is not the writing of a bus a train or a plane or even driving a car that gives us our destination it is the enjoyments of life that give us the greatest Adventure. Because the greatest moments can also be our greatest risks when you take risks you can succeed and when risks and success are part of your adventure then there shall be treasure in the end that isn't gold and it isn't diamonds it is the fact and Truth that you are alive. Well evil men want this treasure for greedy and power-mad purposes it is you that knows the truth of what treasure can do and you seeing it is a memory for a greater lifetime.

    I think old Indy is pretty accurate. Besides, if you're a fan of the show, it just goes to show that his rambles are worth something. Also, he is played by a different actor, is old, and seems to have lost one eye. Sure, it doesn't look like Indy, but listen to what he says. He has the same personality he always has. Just imagine Harrison Ford saying it and it fits perfectly. Just because he's old doesn't mean he isn't cool anymore. Also, if he was born in 1899, then that would make him 109. ^_^

    With all due respect to the late George Hall, I'm glad the old Indy scenes were cut from the DVDs. I hate to imagine Indy as a 'Grampa Simpson' type rambling old man...

      They also wouldn't have made sense having the book ends since they reedited ALL of the episodes into TV movies and gave them full titles. Hall's presence would have had to have been reshot and wouldn't have looked good.

    The Bookends with the Old Indiana Jones should asll be out onto the extras on the Blu ray of Young Indiana Jones

    • @Bull1908
      @Bull1908 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The bookends itself were nearly 25 years ago lol. Doubt anyone would care for the bookends from early 1990's now lol. Had the Adventures of Young Indiana Jones been released immediately, I'd say do it. Besides the episodes have also been reedited and Hall is dead that it wouldn't look good. At least if Hall was alive to redo voiceovers or something it could work.

      Is he still gonna be using his whip and stuff like that in the next movie because Harrison Ford is like 77 and Indiana Jones is gonna be like 60 or something like that

    • @Bull1908
      @Bull1908 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think Indiana Jones 5 is going to be the last one. Idk if Lucas (who did Young Indiana Jones Chronicles which featured Hall with the eyepatch) is invovled but that would be a good final touch to explain how Indy ends up with an eyepatch by the time its the 1990s.

    These snippets are great - I'm using them to pull information for the Indiana Jones wikia. Any chance you also have the closing credits for all the episodes - just to confirm role names and cast (imdb is sometimes in error), and the DVDs might cut some of the bookend cast.

    Gee, today on the recent TV shows, they aren't like this anymore. I wished that they continued to show these because it would educate young minds to go out for some adventure. I hate the fact that old Indy lived in an old people's home, WTF
    no wonder why Lucas deleted all the scenes with old Indy
    Indy was still alive and well (slighty crippled, though), somewhere, in the 1990s and even the 2000s, because of the water he drank from the Grail, hell, he could be still alive, 110-125 yo...

    • @StooTV
      @StooTV  9 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Old Indy did not live in an old people's home. Where in the world did you get that idea from?

    • @pferreira1983
      @pferreira1983 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +JoeTyler85 The problem with the bookends is they have nothing to do with the actual episodes apart from him seeing Vicky at the end. Also none of the people Indy tells a story to actually listens so the whole thing is a complete waste of time.

    It could have been well show about a young archeologist no relation to Indiana Jones . Yet there are times where he shows the man that the character grew up to be. Nothing like an archeologist.

    • @Bull1908
      @Bull1908 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      because all of the episodes had been redone and converted into tv movies. It wouldn't have made sense to add the bookends. Hall seemed like a good actor and it would have been a cool to touch to see Old Indy but by the time the Adventures of Young Indiana Jones was released anywhere from 7 (1999) to 16 years (2008) have gone by people wouldn't cared about a 1992 booked.

    Hi JawaJames, I've seen your name as one of the editors of that site. Last year I signed up to the Indy wikia to fill in the Old Indy stuff and have been meaning to do it. I wouldn't mind be the main Old Indy contributor. :-)

    @brianspillane4494 12 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    It's really neat to see these again, wow. I love all things Indy, and vaguely remembered Old Indy when this originally aired. Still, sort of depressing to see Indy grows into a doddering, sentimental old codger, crippled and blinded by bad luck or aging reflexes, and willing to lecture virtually any stranger he runs into about his not-unsubstantial but still personal history. Worst of all, he's stuck in the early 90's, yuck. Indy =/= yuppies and grunge.

    I’ll give the man credit for a great match in physical appearance as well as the gentleman charm, but George Hall doesn’t quite match the voice depth or the mannerisms of Harrison Ford. That said, it’s still a nice little series if you care to consider canon. Indy 5 just might make it so…

I just finished a big project to populate the content for "Verdun, September 1916" and i'd love an extra set of eyes to go over the cast/characters list to make sure no one was left out or mispelled. there's even entries for the Stewardess and the "Pirate of Wall Street"

    You can never have too much Adventures and they just don't make TV shows like this anymore everything seems to go sideways as soon as Disney starts buying all the good stuff and it feels like good old Disney back in its great days it's just a memory that we have in our lifetime Walt Disney would be disappointed and I'm very certain that Roy E Disney would be disappointed too to see how Disney has changed its moral boundaries now it's just immoral it feels like the original Legacy of Walter Disney is just Dust in the Wind but it is not Dust in the Wind to me because I will always cherish 20th Century Disney and early 21st Century Disney but when it came to Mid 21st Century Disney it feels like Disney just died. They couldn't make a great adventure story without adding all this Pride nonsense I think I'm better off working at Universal with Steven Spielberg or working in Paramount with him. I think I have a better chance of working with universal, Paramount, and amblin entertainment. Unless Disney decides to change their ways and go back to better cartoons and people love to be interested in again no more Pride nonsense then maybe some of us will go back to becoming subscribers for Disney. Because if I'm not mistaken Disney is supposed to be family-friendly more family-oriented to be precise.
