- Windows 11 Will Now Record EVERYTHING You Do. Microsoft will record your screen every three seconds with a app called Recall. Recall is an AI feature coming to Windows 11. Copilot+ is designed to let you go back in time on your computer by searching for snapshots taken by recall of your pc activity.

Windows 11 is no longer an operating system it has evolved into a User Surveillance System.
Maybe it will come in two editions: USS Home and USS Enterprise
@@benhetland576 USS Enterprise is for spying on businesses.
remember skynet.
I refer to it as the Microsoft Spyware Ad Virus.
Along with Amazon, Apple, Android, Twitter, Instagram, You Tube? And who pays for all this stuff? No wonder the people are broke and the country is bankrupt. This is ignorant.
It's just sooo draining having to treat Windows PCs like small children.
Constantly checking to see if they're up to something naughty, dangerous or illegal.
Thanks for the vigilance 💙

I abandoned doing Windows support when I switched to Linux. Just couldn't be arsed with all the MS shenanigans any more to be honest.

"Vigilance?!" Surveillance is the proper word.
Microsoft says "all the data will be stored locally only" and then it says "Microsoft will not share the data"... Try and reconcile these two statements, Microsoft!
“…on the same pc” hope this helps
@@fetusmaledory497 IF all the data is stored on your PC, how come MS feels the need to comment that it would not share the data. This simply implies that it has access to your data on your PC and chooses to do (or not) what it wants with it, without you being aware of it. Just trust MS to do what's good for you, like a parent, or cop...
If Google is any example, Microsoft will hand over your data without a warrant, probable cause, or any of those other Bill of Rights inconveniences.
And if your "locally stored data" isn't actually stored on your PC but on a domain server elsewhere, what then?
What you do you? There's no contradiction between those two statements.
😂
"Microsoft will not share the data..." I remember Google among others like Instagram and Facebook saying the exact same thing.
Only shares with OpenAI. Hail our new AI Overlord.
They won't share the data with you... but everyone else... depends on how much money they got.
Pepperidge Farm remembers the NSA saying "we don't eavesdrop on Americans" 😂
Like how Facebook would automatically make your profile public and claim you were the one sharing the data not to them but everyone. If you don't accept your Freedom being sold they give you anarchy and resentment. They literally just cut a hole in the bag and let it all spill out like disgusting vandals.
This is commercial suicide by Microsoft.
No its not. To many people either don't care or don't understand, especially after Microsoft spins this.
@@rdsii64 even if the normie believes Ed Bott, the EU will be saying no way Hosea to this garbage.
Most people will accept it. They did when keyloggers and spyware were put in windows 7 via an upgrade and every M$ OS since. They allow the computer to bork itself whenever it wants to via forced updates. They know it phones home but don't care. Read some comments below, they can't wait to get shafted. Gaming is more important to them than private details.
@@musicalneptunian the EU will do nothing on this, because this can be very helpful in a Business environment. But for normal home use, this is not needed.
Hopefully it will divide people even more. The sheep will continue using Microshit products while techies will not. Main problem is workplaces like my current assignment that use microshit products. When they switch to Win11, I will either have to do my work on my own computers and send the files via email (because everything is locked down, but they use windows and claim it to be secure which is laughable) or resign. Don't care really. Let them enjoy their beloved shitproducts :)
I'm 65 and I switched to Linux. If I can do it, anyone can! I highly recommend Linux Mint if you are new to Linux.
Yep, I was 74 when I started using Linux more and more. Plenty of time to get used to it during the Pandemic, of course!
I'm going to be the odd one out, and advise against using Linux Mint. Here's why. Linux Mint is built on top of Ubuntu, and Ubuntu has done some very questionable things in recent years. Linux Mint has had to modify it's package base and maintain their own separate version of certain packages inside their own repos, just to avoid some of the changes being pushed by Ubuntu. This is a duplication of effort. Which is kind of frowned upon in the world of software development. Also, How long can the Linux Mint Devs really continue this game of Whack-a_mole with Ubuntu? They also recently announced plans to start forking certain GTK apps because of the issues with GTK4 with CSD. I personally don't think this approach is very sustainable. They already tried this with early GTK3 applications, and they abandoned the whole reason for doing it after about two years. So keep that mind. Also keep in mind that Microsoft and Canonical (Ubuntu's Parent Company) have a business partnership and collaborate with each other on some things. Therefore i don't trust Ubuntu, and by extension Linux Mint. If you must use Linux Mint, please consider using the Linux Mint Debian Edition. I think you'll be much better off in the long run. But this is just my opinion. To each their own.
At this point Linux Mint Cinnamon is 10X easier to use than windows 11. Even my sister and aging parents want their laptops switched over from W10 due to the W11 update nagging.
Linux does not run the software nor plug-ins I need for my job. There are also compatibility issues with third party companies working on the same projects. Switching to Linux is not an option for many sadly.

The idea of this is not to invade privacy now, but to normalize the technology for later.
First it practices on animals in a lab then it enslaves the children. And eventually it moves onward to larger prey until its actively feeding on itself with economical divination with the hunger to destroy the nation.
1. M$ starts off putting Recall only on Copilot+ PCs.
2. After a backlash and a series of protests, M$ announces it'll remove this feature.
3. The public calmed down, time for M$ to install this feature again, but on a wider market, not just limited to Copilot+ PCs. M$ might install this even on Windows 10 machines.
4. The public caught this offguard, and often with no backlash. M$ profits again.
This is sickening, the people at Microsoft have no conscience at all. You don't monitor paying customers like this.
all big companies serve the one master, in their mind you will own nothing and be happy. This statement includes privacy, freedom, autonomy, houses, cars etc etc
They won't spy on former customers.
Actually a neat feature for enterprise / server use - if something goes wrong you can see who or what, and how, caused the problem, and if it was malicious intent or by accident.
Not for home use though, nope.
Not only does Recall record your passwords, it records your online banking details like your account numbers, how much in your accounts and pin numbers. It will also record your medical records and other sensitive information. The hackers will have a field day.
This has to be unlawful.
There is no way I'm buying a Windows machine again.
That's what I was saying the other day when I commented on a video, but because I'm a Linux user people flamed me but all I was saying is we all have sensitive data on our pc and nobody should have access to those but us.

You could buy a Windows machine and install another OS on it.
Unlawful? We've already become a lawless society. Laws for thee, not for me!
One thing that increasingly irritates me about technology companies is the fact that they spend half their time finding problems that no one has ever had, and the other half of their time finding ways to solve these problems, which didn't exist before.
Meanwhile, they are increasingly invading our privacy, while at the same time making billions of profits from it...
That's a significant part of all business and marketing, not just tech. They think of something, then create a demand for that new thing ("create a market") that nobody really needed in the first place.
What you don't understand is that Windows 11 is already the end. With Windows 10 we managed to make it "somewhat" more privacy friendly but we all have to run on Linux. All of us. And we need to open up and get people together to make an open source program for Adobe-level video and photo editing. Doing that plus more compatibility in video games and drivers, Windows will DEFINITELY disappear!
I've been on windows 10 pro for 0ver 6 years and because I've never trusted Microsoft I've had updates turned off from day one. Never had an issue in all that time.

This is shocking. Windows 11 just gets worse and worse. I think it's time for people to boycott Windows and switch to Linux. Just don't use Windows anymore.
It's stored locally, until Microsoft decide they'll use it to train an algorithm, or a government agency decides it wants to see what you've been doing
... or until you run out of space LOCALLY and the Gates ALL-CONTOL Oligarchy has M.S. upload all of your data to M.S. Cloud Services " for your CONVENIENCE" .
It's probably stored locally except the pictures the AI has deemed questionable or even illegal. Of course law enforcement will have to be contacted if pictures are illegal, or questionable.
Do you really think they’re not doing it already?😂
Or your boss. Ever get one of those emails at work that go "Hi, why not take a look at your Office usage breakdown"? Your boss gets an even more detailed breakdown of your Office usage.
Yep, once enough people adopt this theyll randomly update their privacy policy and sync it to the cloud.
I get bashed every time I say this but I'm still loving my Windows 7
Me too buddy!
Better to make the switch to linux honnestly. much safer then running on a completely dead OS. 0 security updates is not good thing.

Both Nvidia and AMD stopped issuing new driver updates for Windows 7 in 2020
When I can no longer use Windows 7, I use 10 only for Steam, it will be time for a switch to Linux. I can't afford to update some of my productivity software such as Corel Draw because it's too expensive and there are currently no alternatives to some programmes with Linux so I will have to manage without.

I changed over to Fedora Linux (KDE version) and still use a lot of my Windows programs running them under Wine. I set my computer up as a 2 disk dual boot system as when I first tried a dual boot (Linux & Windows) on 1 disk, about 5 years ago, Windows would always overwrite the boot system when it did an update but using 2 disks solves this, more work arounds to solve a Windows problem. Anyway I am really happy with Fedora and very rarely use the Windows boot but do need it for some programs I can't get working under Linux like Fusion 360. Your recent videos about the new 'features' Windows is getting just proves to me that I was right to switch. Keep up the good work notifying us about what is happening with Windows.
Brian, here's something I just found (4:22 PM Montreal time). Gpedit - Administrative Templates - Windows Components, then scroll down to Store: "Turn off the offer to update to the latest version of Windows", then click enable. It states, "If you enable this setting, the store application will not offer updates to the latest version of Windows". This is on Windows 11 Pro, version 22H2.

Hi, same here. Windows 11 is getting worse. The Recall feature is a major invasion of your privacy. Okay, you need a computer with an NPU and a powerful Copilot+ PC, but all the ads that started popping up in Windows and all the other new features that many users do not need or will not use, so yes, I think many users will start to leave Windows 11. Take care and have a nice day.
do it. get into linux now. i saw the writing on the wall around 2018 / 2019 and made the switch. it was a little awkward in the beginning (because it's *not* windows and it doesn't work like windows), but i couldn't be happier now. (using windows today, feels so clunky and "old". not that i use windows at all anymore, but when i have to help someone with something it's quite 🤮 )
don't be caught with your pants down. this will eventually turn from an "opt-in" to a ** "mandatory" (mark my words) and when that time comes, you want to at least be comfortable in linux. so when you make the move permanently, it'll be an easy switch.
anyway, with the exception of some software (looking at the adobe's of the world), linux does everything windows does (and mostly better) with fewer system resources AND better security. once you get the hang of it, you won't look back 😉
** windows released the new keyboard configuration...and it has a dedicated co-pilot button, which means they're pushing this to be permanent / the norm.
If you are not working with very specific Windows based software or gaming intensely I simply cannot understand why casual pc users use Windows.
@Keizer_Soze Hej i agree with you, and I will definitely make the switch to Linux. I've had enough of Windows, especially Windows 11. I looked a bit at Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia this morning, and of course, I have run Linux Mint before, so if I choose Linux Mint, it will likely be the Cinnamon edition. But there are many other Linux distros out there, so I'll see which Linux distro it will be on my main computer. Take care and have a lovely day.
Thanks for the heads-up.
Looks like Microsoft was correct before when it said "Windows 10 will be the LAST version of Windows" LOL
This is a gross invasion of privacy!!!! How do Microsoft justify the need for this feature? Something has to be done to stop Microsoft from progressing down this dangerous path. How can they get away with something like this. If there was viable alternative to the Windows I would be making plans to ditch Microsoft and be moving to a new platform. I will be sharing this video with as many people as I can and warning them that if Microsoft is allowed to persist with this plan it wont stop there.
I an changing both my PC's to Linux right now!
As much as Britec has taught me the tricks needed to keep M$ from monetizing my every computer task, I'm in the process of converting my systems over to Linux. So far, Linux Mint looks like a PERFECTLY viable alternative to Windows. Last night, just for fun, I experimented with running my favorite text editor using Wine - worked with no problems. IMHO, anyone who cares enough about privacy and performance to consider ditching Windows should have no problem learning the very few, very simple tasks required to completely replace Windows with an open source, non-invasive Linux distribution.
The majority of people using computers doesn't care of privacy, the only want have the job done, and smart features is just a bonus.
Linux light 7, will be available in June, super fast open source
The CEO of Microsoft could run for President of the United States, he's a politician already. A few years ago they said Windows 10 was the last OS, you can't take them at their word.
This is the problem with corporations getting to large. If there were alternatives I'm pretty sure everyone would go with a brand that didn't feature this. Just because you CAN monitor people all the time it doesn't mean you should. When East Germany were the ones monitoring their population the most and everyone in the west was against it, now suddenly it is here with us and nobody stops them.
Alternatives will become viable when people grow a spine and leave windows.

Device compatibility has improved by leaps and bounds and continues to improve. For work the computers use windows but we have been gradually switching to programs that have versions for both linux and windows. Zorin OS, Linux Mint, or Pop OS would be fine for new comers from Windows Brian. Their code base is Ubuntu so you shouldn't have any issues installing software and getting help since this is by far the most used Linux distribution. Linux machines… check for Tuxedo or System76. They come with Linux pre-installed and all hardware configured out of the box. A number of different configurations to select from. Personally I built my own PC and been with Linux since 2016. It improved exponentially in these years. There are many resources online and channels to follow and learn the basics. It is really not that difficult. The best part of Open Source software is that you will know if anyone will try any shady stuff. Good luck in your search. Wish you the best.
linux (or apple for that matter) isn't a viable option if your core apps aren't compatible or there are no suitable linux alternatives. Those tech savy enough can run linux on bare metal and windows 10 in a VM. The rest are boned unless they are willing to learn.
I'm using W10 and have Linux Ubuntu and Beta Linux Light running on VM , light is brilliant and full version release in June I think
The computer and the operating system are two different things. You buy a PC which might have Windows installed on it, but you can install Linux instead or along side if you wish. So you don't need to buy a new machine, just download and install Linux.
What every three seconds? No way! That is not right. Please do a video on how Windows Home can turn it off! Or the alternative as you said in your video, is a good Linux distro.
As you say Windows, being closed source we will never know 100% if it is really off.
Thank you, Brian, for making us aware of this.
Take care
Here here. How do windows home uses turn this off, or uninstall Copilot
Recall is only available to new Copilot+ pc's that have Snapdragon X processors with an NPU so unless you have one of those you have no need to worry about it.
I though I read 5 seconds while watching this ?
You can't, you just delete windows 11 and come back to windows 7 or Linux
I have win 7 sp1.
Any of the Fedora Atomic editions might be a good choice for a new user. Or Fedora Kinoite with the Windows-like KDE desktop environment more specifically if you're coming from Windows. If a package install breaks during an update, it's said to roll back all the update process to prevent borking the whole OS. It also always keeps a system snapshot similar to the existing Windows system restore that Fedora will show at bootup you can select as a just incase, so you can revert your system back before the latest update if you absolutely need to.
As with everything Linux tho, there's always downsides. With Fedora, you do have to install the latest media codecs yourself so all TH-cam videos play correctly, but you can find the instructions to do so on the web. A little faffy at first. You may have to get to grips with the terminal. But after that, it's just learning how to use Fedora. There is Bazzite also based on a Fedora Atomic edition, it's more gaming centered but haven't tried it myself yet so less familiar with all the differences.
Mint isn't a bad starting Linux distro. While it's certainly not my favorite, it's a good place to learn. Don't be afraid of trying out different distros later on.
From the windowslatest article in your description: “According to official hardware requirements, Windows 11’s Recall AI isn’t available on existing hardware. You’ll need Snapdragon X PCs, as Intel and AMD PCs do not meet the minimum requirement of 40 TOPs (trillion operations per second) NPU (a chip dedicated to handling AI processing on-device).”
Might be better to front-load this kind of information going forward, but this does tell me I never want to get a computer that supports Copilot+! I’ve never even heard of Snapdragon X :)
Thanks for the heads up as always, Brian!
The fact that M$ is even pursuing this "feature" is the real problem. It shows a company-wide, monolithic disregard for their users' privacy and security. I think anyone paying attention to this revelation already knows M$' "disclaimer" about system requirements here. IMHO, it's bollocks. M$ has proven they can't be trusted, and technology changes fast enough that a requirement like this today - assuming it's legit - might be circumvented as soon as a 'smarter' A.I. is developed (e.g., next quarter?).
I recently bought a AMD 8600G that has a NPU do not know how many tops.Hope 9000G comes out before years end.Running mint 20.3 i think a newer version is also out.
@@hughluttrell6350 I have been running MINT 21.3 for months now!
Most desktops with a video card have an NPU. They will dip their toes in the water with the ARM PCs, then add it to anyone with an NVidia card, following that Intel, and then AMD, eventually, the 15th gen Intel CPUs will be out and they will do it on those. This is very much 'coming soon(tm)'
But you still get Recall even if it doesn’t work on your PC. Thanks, Microsoft!
I read this the other day and wondered if you would do a video on it, thanks Brian. Bloody diabolical.
Its a absolute joke what they are doing.
I use fedora on a laptop i have. Used Ubuntu for years, but switched to Fedora for several reasons. Fedora is stable and easy to set up and use.
Hi again Brian, you are you talking about making the switch to Linux? I'm thinking of switching to Linux myself. I've used a few different Linux distros in the past, several of which I like. But I checked out Linux Mint this morning; the new Linux Mint Virginia 21.3 update seems very nice. Linux Mint comes in different versions, but you know that. I like the Linux Mint Cinnamon version, so we'll see what I do. But the advantage is that I have a computer that does not have an NPU CPU, so I avoid more AI, but the question is if Windows 11 will require an NPU CPU in the future; that is the big question. Take care Brian and have a nice day.
Linux Mint, never had any issues.. never bothers me for updates .. easiest for a windows user to convert too
What you don't understand is that Windows 11 is already the end.
Someone in the world should file a lawsuit against Microsoft about this policy..😠
Linux mint is always my recommendation. I switch OSs whenever I feel like it. I have a bunch of machines. I have a mac mini when I feel like messing with apple products directly. I have a windows PC that I go through every update and remove the unwanted crap from. I have a linux mint pc that I do everything on except the few Microsoft required programs. I've jumped around the different distros and I always come back to Mint. It's not that I can't run a compiler, its that I just want to set my stuff up and go. I add and remove whatever I want. It's a great distro for doing what you want.
I have used Zoran OS pro for the last five years and have not had any issues. Highly recommended.
This is absolutely ridiculous! How about if our data and privacy is abused we all file a class action lawsuit, if this feature is roled out! The more of us that don't stand for this crap will hopefully make microsoft revert this decision. How about instead of forcing features on users, they allow it to be truly optional. I will never understand these decision makers in companies and why they don't hire more competent people who actually care about privacy and security 100%. As a Cybersecurity professional I see a ton of issues with this.
How would you know it was abused? Do you think that MS would let you know?
With Microsoft, how could anyone be sure that this “feature” is truly ‘off’ when turned off? I certainly wouldn’t trust that to be true. I’m not 100% sure that the computer is truly fully ‘off’ when I turn it ‘off’.
If you unplug it the probability that it is actually of rises significantly.
Not to mention that your camera may be recording your activities.
@@jawnTem i don't have a camera or microphone on my pc.
Which is the biggest reason why I didn't buy a camera when I got my PC@@jawnTem
@@squeezerdsqueezerd2427 A lot of people use a laptop that comes with a camera and built in mic. Most, don't even realize when it's on. A while back kids were being moni9tored by schools via their lappie cams. There was a big stink about them being recorded without their knowledge.
Hello. In your video you asked for a good linux distro to try. Granted you will get a lot of differnt opinions on this. My recommendation would be Fedora. It has a good mix of new and stable drivers for new device support. Debian my be one of the most stable but it takes longer to get drivers for cutting edge devices. Some people don't like Redhat(fedora's developer) So there is that. But for a first time Linux Daily Driver, that would be my recommendation.
Would you recommend using windows in a virtual box when this is implemented?
I've installed over 50 linux distros when trying to switch from windows to linux back in 2015. My biggest discovery was Zorin os. I'm using Zorin Os few years now, pro version, and i had zero issues, even windows games work excellent. Hope it will help in your transition.
LOL it took you fifty Distros LOL I use Mint and Zorin, my 3rd choice might be Pop. These are the best ones for the Windows user looking to switch.
Agreed... already installed Linux on one of my PCs and it is not as bad as I thought it would be.. I actually rather like it. This just gave me that final push I needed to make the jump and now I feel silly not having done it sooner. You can always run windows as a VM for any finnicky programs.
Linux? To get used to it id go with Mint or Fedora. I already used Mint on my laptop and seems quite convincing and very bigginer friendly
I maybe missing something here but my understanding is that this is only a issue when it's comes to the next generation of Copilot+ PCs as is not able to run on current hardware. Grateful for clarification on this.
I switched to Linux Mint as my daily driver last year and the transition was seamless. There are a couple of Winows programs that I need to use, so I have a dual-boot system and run Windows offline when I need to use them (those programs don't require an internet connection).
Thank you so much, Brian!!
You're welcome
@Britec09
Again, next major update is not gonna be the same with any previous update of windows 11, 21h2, 22h2, or 23h2,
And next update basically is a huge jump.
Most of mid or entry gaming laptop probably is just equipped with 500GB of storage, and in order to make sure our device is established enough to just run the next MAJOR update, at least "Consumer" should add more storage to their devices, good luck if you have extra slots on your laptop.
Now the requirements is just not only minimum of GEN 8th processor like before.
Now Consumer should consider wether their devices is gonna be fully matched the minimum requirements or not, to just gain the update!!!!! To just follow the update!!!! That may also offer a F security patch update!!!!!!!!!!!.
See Brian, it's not reducing E-Waste.
So don't call me bully or haters in this state.
Because you and I blinded now what's happening now.
It's more like planned obsolescence rather than reducing e waste.
I still suffered with horrendous poor performance of the whole user experience of windows 11, and it's been 2 years more I never got any answer or fix from them, I call and do ask on their support page but guess what, they always blame the user, blaming my devices, bla bla bla, and now they even forcing me to move to the next MAJOR BS COWpilot update?
It's not about me being haters BRIAN, it's me as "CONSUMER"
And felt like they somehow violated my Consumer rights.
this channel has become my go-to for my daily dose of Windows 11 dystopia
you can't go wrong with linux, i use arch with a kde desktop, these days arch has an installer so installing is much easier than before, i find it very stable and very rarely have any issues with it, i do however make a backup every now and then using rescuezilla so it's a simple restore if i need it, there's a distro for everyone but it may take a little trial and error to find one you like, whatever flavour you choose try it with a kde desktop, it looks and feels very similar to a windows desktop but can of course be tweaked to suit your needs, i'd also say us flatpak to install any apps you need it's simple and mostly just works, good luck and enjoy the journey, for me it took a number of tries before i stopped distro hopping and settled on arch
I have completely switched to Linux for months, now no more Windows and I love it (and yes, I had to make some compromises), but the computer is mine and not Microsoft's anymore, I am in control again.
Enabling Bitlocker by default and forcing you to have a Microsoft account now is making much more sense. This will not be living only in your PC. Maybe the pics will, but I will bet that the AI descriptions will be uploaded, for our "convenience", at a later time. RIP Windows. I have being living Windows free since 2008.
I thought the same thing. A stolen laptop won't be as much of a nightmare with a MS acct login and bitlocker, otherwise this would be pure nightmare fuel. Well it still is but at least those decisions make sense now.
Like a crime novel the pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together. The former actions now start making sense as the plot is revealing it itself; TPU and "trusted computing", everything in "the cloud", key logging, fingerprint collection, telemetry, always online with an global online account, face recognition "for your convenience", AI, screen monitoring...
Lovely for work to check you working that's all it's for! How does that not violate gdpr?
Is this for a specific version of windows, or a specific type of PC ? What is copilot pc ?
The stuff Microsoft was doing was already a gross privacy violation.. this takes it to a new level. Im switching to Linux.
And what the NSA, CIA, FBI have been doing makes MS look like Privacy Kings.
Windows acts like virus, malware, trojan, botnet and what not ? Now say windows 11 is not that bad as you said before. 😂😂
The way Windows is going I'm definitely thinking about doing Linux myself or a custom Windows OS.
I am currently experimenting with Windows X light OS and
Linux Mint.
Thanks for this video I had no idea that this was a thing that Microsoft was planning on doing. Quick question, how would Recall work if I disabled wifi and did not use an ethernet cable so my computer was offline 24/7? I primarily use my PC as a gaming device, so I could use it to play only single player games that don't require an internet connection. I could use my Mac to download PC software onto a hard drive and install it onto my PC while it remained offline.
That is insane!
I have switched to Linux last month been trying a lot I'd distro last month I settled on open suse I recommend Linux mint Debian 12😊
Recall will only be featured on the Copilot + ARM PCs with the Snapdragon X Plus and Snapdragon X Elite chips.. For the vast majority of Windows 11 users running Windows on x86-64 architecture PCs, they have nothing to worry about, Recall will not run on their computer. For some reason Brain is not giving the full story in this video.
You have it with the latest Windows Update and are forced to keep it. You can remove the offending folder but you’ll be stuck with an ugly blank DisplayName icon if you do.
@@NormanF62 do you mean that all windows 11 computers will have it, not only the mentioned architecture?
@@snuffe_himself123 Yup. The app though won’t run without a compatible NPU. Someone is going to work on a hack to allow it to run on PCs that don’t have NPUs.
Doesn't make what they are doing right. This privacy invasion is dystopian.
All upcoming CPUs especially laptops will have a npu so it's unavoidable to have the feature on any new hardware.
Oh good. I was really hoping it'd record all my activity just like I hope my neighbors watch my every move. Thanks for exposing this.
You're welcome
ZORIN OS 17 I love it, and the low resource's it uses, very stable.
linux mint is a good one all around
no need to mess with the terminal or anything most of the time + its really user friendly
time to move to linux
Brian is there any chance you can do a video on M2 slots and how to use them. I have read my manual from back to front but it doesn't explain. My mobo is MSI MPG B550 . I hear folks saying NVME for the fastest boot and I have tried all different sorts but can't make head or tail of why they won't work, you explain things well so would be delighted if you could do one..Thanks
I've used openSuSE for years. Great installer. I would avoid the btrfs file system and go with ext4 due to the space taken up by snapshots.
Tuxedo OS is a Linux system worth looking at. It is maintained by a company that sells Linux computers, and so have a vested interest in it being reliable. I've been using it on an old laptop (from 2011) doing basic tasks and haven't yet run into any problems.
Thank goodness for open source software. Time to switch if you haven't already. Linux Mint is a great alternative to Windows. The Cinammon desktop is very similar to Windows 7 type workflow, so transitioning should be a fairly easy task.
ok does this mean that if i make a purchase from amazon that windows can take screenshot of my card number etc every 3sc
Thanks Brian Who in their right mind would want this on their computer they already are snooping way too much!!!! Even if it was local and they were on the up and up able to use way too much data in storage space I use macrium reflect for any restore issues more problems. I would suggest the same.
Thanks for being on top of it Britec🎉
I'd recommend Linux Mint Cinnamon...UI is similar to Windows and it "works right out of the box " as a rule. Easy learning curve.
windows with this "recall" feature it's a hard pass, it's a no starter. I use Fedora Linux with the gnome desktop environment but at the end of the day you can choose any of the major linux distro and you'll be fine, it's just a matter of preference; you are free to choose. Thanks for the video!
Windows is done for, i use Endeavour OS KDE 6 for a week now and its awesome, even got the few windows games to run i cant live without like Everquest. Good thing i dabbled with Arch and linux alot years back so could pick it right back up. For the ton of window softwares can always install a non networked version of win 7 in qemu if i wanted that np. For the people that dont want linux can also do a non updating tiny 10 windows i guess?
Employers will love this as well. Please explain why the AI detected that you didn’t move your mouse cursor between 10:34.33 and 10:34.39.
