Custom "Pirate Batman" Cowl- New Cosplay Project!

- This is the start of a new Cosplay project, Geeks! After seeing some amazing concept art of Batman in different time periods, I wanted to tackle a hardcore "Pirate Batman". So the first step was designing and fabricating a cowl that was different and striking at the same time. Here's the end result...

That cowl is badass!!! I love the leathery look it reminds me of an authentic pirate hat
The end is not very Batman-like but okay😂😂
I love the cowl, but I would weather the ends of the bandana, like little holes and/or a bit tattered

also another thing you might consider, the parts that are supposed to be exposed metal, i think a rough, hammered texture would fit better to the theme then the smooth, machined look. So far tho, it looks fantastic.

the cowl is giving me serious arkham knight vibes, i like it.
im pretty sure the one he used as the base was based off the arkham origins cowl
This is by far the coolest design for a batcowl. I am very interested to see how the whole cosplay will turn out. Fantastic job Chris.
You should do a Flash costume if you have the time
Just need a trenchcoat.
I definitely want to see him make a Flash helmet at least
But I think he should do a custom flash suit that looks more like cw then justice league

I absolutely love the mask, I am also a fan of alternate versions of iconic characters, but when they are done well. As so as you lifted the mask up to the camera , my jaw dropped. It's beautifully crafted, true to the character and overall completely BADASS. you've done a fantastic job and I can't wait to see where you take this next cosplay from here. It's funny. I thought, "Hey, you should call your costume Leatherwing,"but it turns out their's already a pirate Batman comic called Leatherwing. Dang it, I thought I had an original idea for once.

It is a beautiful piece of design. And the eyes are really good.
Nice! So much potential for other Batman cosplays using this as a basis! Gotham by Gaslight for starters! The way the cowl pieces end at your cheeks and the shape of the nose reminds me of Hawkman a little bit too.

Amazing. There was a time Batman was a pirate. Didn't think of that when I saw the cowl tho. Reminded me of Zur en Arrh Batman.

This is really cool! I had made my own pirate batman cowl back in September out of leather with a eyepatch that is connected with magnets. I also made some leather gauntlets and I went with a baldric rather than a armored chest (wish I would of thought of using one). Definitely will watch more of your videos in hopes of improving my cosplay!

I do also think the cowl needs to be weathered a bit more

Cool work. I think this is good cosplay as it also uses creativity and has more personality of the cosplayer.

That's a sharp Pirate Batman Cowl! When you stated you saw the pirate Batman, I'm sure it was the "Return of Bruce Wayne" action figure or the comic book series. If you can also make the uniform to go with the cowl and not to forget the "utility belt", it's going to look real awesome! Continue success along with an abundance of imagination.

Maybe a not too long pirate beard (just don't shave for awhile) would make the cowl look complete and still keep with the theme. Love the video... can't wait to see this all put together!
