I had the fmf with powerbomb an I didn like the fmf slip on but I did love the powerbomb header with the hmf slip on it ran strong with a jetted carb an hot cam stage 2
Take the spark arrestor out of both and then do the sound difference.both had them in so they both sound the same.bt im yoshimura as thts whats on my 2000 which my full exhuast is original from the early 2000s.no spark arrestor in mine.not too loud bt definitely not quiet.
Clean machines! Sounds good, I vote Yoshimura.

Clean quad, sounds great too. Personally I think HMF is best sounding on a 400ex

Did you put on a different cdi noticed the rev limiter sounded a bit different

No you should be able to rev it with the stock muffler as well, you must have air/fuel delivery issues with you machine.
