Probably one of the most in-depth and personal interviews I've seen Bensinger do and happy to see Green's parents get interviewed. Green was a pioneer in reality television, reaction comedy and podcasting. As a Canadian, I remember watching his show back before MTV picked it up. I enjoyed watching this. Thank Graham.
Wish I would have stressed to my parents how much I loved and appreciated them more than I did. Unfortunately I was still an immature kid when they passed. 🥺
I remember setting my VCR to record The Tom Green show cause it was on so late. I had multiple episodes recorded ! I would watch it with friends. great memories. I 'grew up" with Tom and he's still awesome to this day
lol Its great to see his parents. I was actually just watching old 90s Tom Green the other day and I was wondering how Mr. and Mrs. Green are doing these days. Happy to see them hanging in there and still tolerating Tom 🥰🥰 There are two pranks that he did on his parents that stand out to me the most- and one is when he had that picture of a naked slutty lady airbrushed on his dads car, and his dad had to walk to the bus stop to go to work 😂😂 The other one is when he put that "statue" on his parents lawn of his dad beating his mom LMAO I had to be perhaps 13 or 14 when those happened. It was the perfect sophomoric humor for a sophomore lmao
This is so nice to see. What a great family and Tom's parents seem to be truly wonderful people. Its amazing to think how their support for a kids crazy dreams really were a critical part for them to come true. I am so happy they did too. Watching the first Ottawa show when I was in University was a highlight of my week. I would watch it with all the people on my GFs floor and it was mostly people couldn't understand but some people got it and loved it. Way to go Tom! Great Job!
Tom is one of my all time favorites. OG weird shit. Loved it even more when it became clear that my Dad absolutely hated it😂 Classic. Its really a cool thought that Tom did so well and was smart with his money. He knew the huge checks wouldn't last forever and lived accordingly, from what i can tell. Super super cool. An original, absolute trailblazer. Love the relationship he has woth his parents, another fantastic aspect if Tom Green. They seem like the sweetest folks.
3:30 "because folks like you created that path" tom - "maybe" no tom you absolutely did, we love the work youve done in your career and accomplishments you ARE the inventor of podcasting and everything thats branched off of it
The Tom Green Show was one of the best especially at that time. Definitely an OG. Had the old vhs tapes of it. Used to love to introduce it to friends that hadn’t heard of it yet. They’d always crack up 😆
at what point did Tom Green fundamentally change as a person? when did the TOM GREEN we grew up with die exactly? it was before his awkward unfunny talk show in his basement...but after the MTV stardom I think the Tom Green Show was...literally one of the funniest most absurd pieces of comedy I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Like Monty Python, Kids in the Hall, or Jackass...it was so special and so unique. I would LOVE to own it all on DVD...I would watch it again tonight.
To me, the funny thing about the porn on the car was not the porn, or even the reaction of the parents. It was how Tom acted like he thought he was doing something nice for his parents. Playing the innocent kid while doing devilish things! Same with filling his parents house with animals, or paining their house. 'Look what I did for you, daddy!' Lol
OMG I remember watching his show on MTV in the 90s and the parent pranks are legendary! I still talk about them today. Thanks for all the laughs Tom!!! :)🩷
Kinda funny how a couple of canadians (jim carrey and Tom) followed a similar life path in that they achieved levels of fame and success and both found it wanting. Thru different paths but they both ended up realizing the folly of chasing it once you have enough money to live a life many envy....without show business being the main events in their lives. Hope they sit down and chat about it on his deck one day.
There is a subtle BUT ENORMOUS error in the blocking of this interview. Tom is sitting in the wrong spot, and interrupts the conversation's flow as a result. He keeps cutting the conversation off. He needs to be sitting on the outside of his mom, bookending them with Graham on the other side. From where he is, he's a gatekeeper. If he would physically move to the outside spot, he would become a facilitator.
They're a floatation device. He can walk across that water in the background. Worst case scenario, you fall over then someone can spot you in the water by the soles of the boots bobbing up and down.
I've always liked Tom Green. Seems super cool. Freddy got fingered is great. The halfpipe scene is burned in my brain. You couldn't do a comedy like that nowadays thats what makes it memorable.
How is this guy a successful interviewer? His questions are so basic, badly phrased, delivered awkwardly. His segway into the cancer topic was so ham handed.
Tom's a lucky guy to still have both his parents around.
Does he really? Thats so awesome!! I still have my Tom Green skate deck from birdhouse!! 🤙🏻 he was my favorite in high school
This is always a comment made by people who want attention for their dead or older divorced parents.
Your username is hilarious
Tom is lucky his parents didn't have him institutionalized.
Considering Tom had cancer he's lucky he's even around lol
World’s most tolerant parents lol
Don’t forget about Phil and April Margera.
@@travisinthetrunk- Or Jeffrey Dahmer's dad.
@@travisinthetrunk I was going to say they were Canada's answer to Bams parents too
Tom turned out a lot better than Bam. Tom got out of the chaos and found peace on his farm.
Have u not seen Bam?
tom's dad rockin the camo canadian tire hat, what a beauty
I will never forget the look on Tom's dad's face when he first saw the Slut Mobile.
Best Tom clip ever!
Amazing. What legendary clip.
"HOLY CHRIST!!"
He was always a true trailblazer. Lucky to have those parents too.
Agree
The Slutmobile is one of the greatest moments in TV history
Love this guy! I'm 44 and grew up watching him. Kudos to you Tom. This dude gives off great positive vibration. He's one of the real ones.

He’s pretty unfunny now.
“Mary Jane” Green. Best name ever. !😉
My favorite memory of Tom & his parents was the Monica Lewinsky special, they were beaming as if they were proud of him beyond words
He brought Monica to our high school, Tom's alma mater, where they filmed. I chose the most exciting day of high school to skip 😖
I love that Tom still has his parents. Mine are gone, and that's that.
I was thinking the same thing, take care of yourself.🍁
same 😔
Wish I would have stressed to my parents how much I loved and appreciated them more than I did. Unfortunately I was still an immature kid when they passed. 🥺
TOMS MOMS NAME IS MARY JANE AND DADS NAME IS DICK. HE WAS MEANT TO BE A COMEDIAN
Where did they go?
Glad to see Tom’s doing so good he seems at peace & I’m glad he has such great supportive parents
I remember setting my VCR to record The Tom Green show cause it was on so late. I had multiple episodes recorded ! I would watch it with friends.
great memories. I 'grew up" with Tom and he's still awesome to this day
Thanks for this one Graham. Love from Canada!
Tom’s parents are lovely people. God bless them. He’s truly blessed to have them.
I've met Tom and his parents. All very sweet people.
I remember when he set off those fireworks in his dad's car that s*** was f****** hilarious
Pretty sure you're thinking of Bam Margera
That was Jackass 😂

Tom greens such an awesome guy. His brilliance was massively overlooked.
Love this interview!! Thanks Tom, Dick and Mary Jane for the endless laughs over the years!!❤️🎹🎩
I was 12 years old in 1999. His show had such an impact on me and my friend group

Bam Margera owes all of his success to this family.
I had seen MTV before I had moved back to Canada & then also fell in love with Much Music back then as well & re found Tom 🥰💚
Loved seeing those old clips. Those moments with his parents were hysterical. Tom truly was a pioneer.
I grew up watching the Tom Green show. Huge inspiration to my comedic personality and hes definitly a comedic genius people would overlook
3:30 "because folks like you created that path"
tom - "maybe"
no tom you absolutely did, we love the work youve done in your career and accomplishments you ARE the inventor of podcasting and everything thats branched off of it
Glad to see Tom's parents looking hale and hearty!
Those women were in love. ♥️
“Should we get the funeral suit ready?” Made me laugh out loud 😂
Graham my man. Coming in clutch with another great interview. Graham is by far the best journalist/interviewer we have today
I love Tom because he makes me laugh and I love to laugh because it's a good thing!💙💞💙
Great work Graham - lots of love from Canada
Awesome seeing Tom's parents!!!
The Tom Green Show was one of the best especially at that time. Definitely an OG. Had the old vhs tapes of it. Used to love to introduce it to friends that hadn’t heard of it yet. They’d always crack up 😆
Best parents ever God love them. And may they live forever.
This is awesome from an OG Tom Green fan!
Good on you Tom ! Lovely parents and fabulous property. You seem to fit right in where you're at.
Great advertisement for Canadian Tire 😂
His dad made it hilarious
One last grand prank on your parents please Tom. Would be epic 😊
Oh man. I still remember when he air brushed his dad’s Honda Accord with a naked lady.
Thank you Tom Green's parents for having Tom Green!
His mom has the best name 🌳
Tom and his parents ❤🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦❤❤
He loves his Mum & Dad ❤
Mary Jane Green and Dick Green lmao
Two great tastes, that taste great together!
I remember that cow's head bit so vividly. Still quote "This is a message from Don Corleone!"
The only thing I can think about watching this is how many cameras do they have on this shoot 😂😂😂😂😂
the episode when tom chainsaws the cardboard cutout crowd, thats one that pops first to my memory
This is great
My man is rocking them pontoons!!
Makes me miss Canada terribly
"Mary Jane Green." Wow, what a name...

Gotta say Mary Jane Green might be the coolest name for a mom 😂
Tom is 10 years older than me but now being in my 40’s I feel this strange kinship with him like I’ve grown and matured along with him.
Always with the dog. Lol.
I like how the video title is like a newspaper headline after a hurricane.
Can't wait to see the hood of his dad's car.
Canada: we’ll address your serious cancer in 4 months.
I was going to say the same thing. Socialized medicine isn't always the best.
You all are just neat.
💚 Tom
They would do it in just for laughs😊
Daddy finally voluntarily received a sausage
Anyone know the brand of the shirt Graham is wearing?
Good people make great kids
Mary Jane Green is a top tier name
Tom Green for Prime Minister one day
To me it seemed like Tom Green was for the nerdy weird uncool crowd back in the day, The cool crowd followed Bam Margera. Which i watched both though.
Bam was more for the spoiled rich kids . Tom was oddly for everybody
If anyone wondering why the CBC is shutting down next year. They turned down The Tom Green Show, Trailer Park Boys, and Kenny vs Spenny.
What happened to glenn? Are tom and Glen still friends ?
nice
💚💚💚💚💚👏✨
Tom to the Beastie Boys!
The Slut Mobile episode was great.
He used to torment his parents and i thought it was so funny 🤣
Canadian parents are built different
To me, the funny thing about the porn on the car was not the porn, or even the reaction of the parents. It was how Tom acted like he thought he was doing something nice for his parents. Playing the innocent kid while doing devilish things! Same with filling his parents house with animals, or paining their house.
'Look what I did for you, daddy!' Lol
Tom green and mtv jackass were ahead of their time !
* all these “new aged TH-camrs” have nothing on jackass and Tom
Tom green and CKY. The latter changed as to where Tom is still Tom
The older I get the hotter Toms mom is in the initial Tom Green episodes. 😂
OMG I remember watching his show on MTV in the 90s and the parent pranks are legendary! I still talk about them today. Thanks for all the laughs Tom!!! :)🩷

What in tf are those boots!?
They're a floatation device. He can walk across that water in the background. Worst case scenario, you fall over then someone can spot you in the water by the soles of the boots bobbing up and down.
Look like metatarsal steel boots. With all those heavy, hooved animals you need em.
He did have an accident where he damaged his feet walking over hot fire coals 🔥, maybe that's why he needs huge boots ?
2:46 Is Tom wearing clown shoes?
Sold car!!!
I've always liked Tom Green. Seems super cool. Freddy got fingered is great. The halfpipe scene is burned in my brain. You couldn't do a comedy like that nowadays thats what makes it memorable.
It’s like seeing my long lost parents I’d watch when I was 16 my goatee was solid black now it’s almost solid white holy smokes bros
He seems nervous. Like he claims he really fits in there but he's not really sure.
does tom have the biggest feet in human history?
Looked like a cartoon character lower half. 😂
Bunch of canadians and not a single one of them wearing a canadian tuxedo. For shame!
How is this guy a successful interviewer? His questions are so basic, badly phrased, delivered awkwardly. His segway into the cancer topic was so ham handed.
Was Tom a jackass before jackass?
For sure . Tom is the original Jackass !
wu tang. .
Do you have any life or nah?
The interviewer.....yu k.
Tom green turned into a gay cowboy? What happened?
He’s a Trudeau fan now 🤮
Tom has Bozo boots ...whats up with that?
