Charlie, great effort, I think it's pretty good for the first time. I'm just starting the second week of that class. I think having better tools than what the school provides is one reason folks in the videos make it look easier. That and all the experience they have. Just getting the milling marks off that stock took all day.
Hi my name is Lincoln Easely. I’ve been periodically watching your videos and reviewing what you’ve been doing. I am nearly done with my associates in science and firearms technology. I also have a TH-cam channel documenting everything I’m doing I’m going to be making a TH-cam channel of classes that should be taken. I’d like to consult with you to see what you think. If they should be good classes to take for Sonora does the Institute that I’m going to be suggesting I am also going for my bachelors and masters degree real shortly to become an instructor for Sdi.
Hey man i don't think you mentioned it but what brand were the hand checkering tools that SDI provided? By the way, I'll probably be starting on the 18th of March
Does that class offer an E for Effort on that assignment? 🤣It definitely looks like a tough/tedious project, so I'll be excited to do it (I love challenging stuff). Do you plan on finishing that block out and fitting it to a firearm you currently own?
@@TennesseeTactical I doubt it'll be easier but thank you for uploading this so I (we the students) have an idea of how hard it will be. I wish there was a cerakoting and anodizing class, cause that's what most people around here wants.

Thanks! It was super hard. I do plan on getting some more wood and practicing this more!
Honestly expecting the checkering class to be pretty dang hard man. Good job!
Thank you! I thought I failed at this miserably but again this takes time to master.

It is very tough. Hopefully your experience will be easier than mine. So far this has been the most difficult project for SDI.

@@paulis7319 Yes I do agree. The hydro dipping class was okay but I would have definitely preferred cerakoting.
