- This is a video of how I made a Pinata for my Grandson for his birthday. This isn't your typical pinata, Ya'll. This one is super strong. Break out the ball bats!!! You will need something strong to bust this pinata. I hope this gives you inspiration to make your own. Have a great day everyone!
This video was fantastic! Informative and no delusions of how perfectly easy these will be with a house full of pets and children. I loved the “mom finger” too, I almost stopped scrambling my eggs when you pointed the second time. Lol.

I like the way the presenter breaks down each step in making the pinata. Each step that the presenter explains is very self-exclamatory and easy to understand. I really enjoy the presenter as well as the presentation.
I wanna see the video of someone trying to bust that open! You had to use a knife, a hammer, AND and electric saw just to make the candy hole!!! 😆😂🤣

This was one of my all-time favorite videos (of anything) I have ever watched - I would watch any video you ever made. I felt like I was right there just hanging with you and learning how to make a really awesome pinata. I love how totally authentic and chill you are - you do what you do very well and don't have a ton of crap most people put in their videos - so much stimulation and distraction I can't watch them. This was informative AND relaxing...fun AND calming. Your kids are lucky to have you for a mom. :)

I make piñatas and it doesn’t take 3 months for a piñata I take at the most 3 days for one just because of the time for the paper mache to dry but I do 3-4 layers each day.

You got your self some great help. Awesome video. You are right about the ones from the store, even the ones from the Mexican stores are weak. I am working on making a few for some birthdays and we make them strong, even the adults get to have fun.

I came here to get an idea on how to make a good, strong piñata. I’m going to be making a Star Wars one. So when I saw you were actually making a TIE fighter, I got excited lol. This is definitely up there with one of my ideas. But, I think I might just do a Death Star piñata because it’s a little easier lol. Thanks for the tips!!

It only takes a water and flour. 3 layers of news paper if I want it to break easy. The more layers you add the harder it gets. Mix with hands and squish lumps out. Use same day no need for extra anything.
my mom used to make my sister and I Easter baskets using this method, but would use a needle to pop the balloon to pull it out

You should use cold water to avoid lumps. Warm water will cause lumps. Thank you for sharing.

It's okay that the wings come off first also because for some reason and star fights they're also the first things to come off
What I wanna know is how long does the piñata take to dry?
I let each layer dry over night or I put a fan blowing on it where it will dry faster. It will change colors when it is dry. Hope this helps.

Hi! A quick question... how many layers did it take before you felt like it was sturdy enough not to bend or break? I need to make a project for Halloween that needs to hang and hold candy. Not a pinata, more of a hanging basket.

If I was to guess, I would say 10. I would just go by feel. When it feels as sturdy as you want it then stop and paint it.

great idea, i am all into pinatas and crafts. Today i was looking for big latex balloons for my emoji pinata for my older brother!! :) only thing i saw was that balloon you just showed in th evideo ... i will buy it now because it could notwork for the emoji and i was about to order online which is a ripped off... thanks for the idea of putting salt in the paste, i never did ..only glue... lov the video and the looks to your grandchildren or children,,, i enjoyed the video!! thanks

A normal one would be smaller than hers but could still work 👍🏼🎈✨

What type of string is used? I know some will use something like bailing wire lol
I have used hay string it works really well but now, I just use any rope I have laying around.

How many layers in all??
I would guess it about 60 depending on how strong you want it. More if you want it extra durable.

How long this take to make?
I take 3 months to make one but I only spend maybe 15 minutes a day on it.

How long did it take you to make the pinata? I want to make one with my cousin for his birthday.
It takes me a month sometimes 2 if I don't get to work on it everyday. What slow you down is the drying time( I let one layer dry before putting on another. I find that it makes it easier to work on and it's not slipping around as bad). If I am in a hurry I keep a fan blowing on it to speed it up. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

No, I just use punch balls because of their size. Any balloon will work.

I love your Piñata! I made one with my kids using a balloon. We will try yours next check out our channel if you want to do a simple one with your kids.
