Using Q to wave clear in lane is fine, but the moment you use Q to not self peel, a competent enemy mid laner who is on sylas or qiyana will immediately jump on you and murder your ass
Of course but again, low elo players need to make sure to learn basic enemy champion abilities to know when they can get away with certain things. I'm comfortable using Q to clear against an Ahri pre 6 for example

Neace when you leave a practice tool game (exit game, not win/lose game), you have to go into a regular normal or ranked lobby and wait a few seconds until it kicks you out. Then you can actually queue for practice tool or anything else.

it can be wasteful early game when it costs a lot given your max mana and cooldown. So it's not a consistent thing you just need to know when the time comes to be frugal with it
after 10mins of isolation, my opponent zed is completely out of his mind, flash and ult and jump to everyone, I've never seen a zed become so harmless, like i literally wanna pet one at home

I just got to plat this season split 3 (To be honest, I think it was allot of luck involved because even I was surprised seeing as I was hardstuck gold all the time) and mainly play Lux as I'm a onetrick (2.4 million mastery points, you could see how I'm hardstuck in my old habits for not climbing). I've been doing a few things (not in every game I suspect) correctly in my own games that I recognize from what you're pointing out in the video, but that's mostly I believe not a conscious playstyle but as something I suspect has developed over time, after playing lux for way too long than what was needed to develop it. That's not to say that I have failed to be consistent and there is allot of habits I still have yet to improve or even develop doing. My cs lead is horrible too and focusing too much in kills, very classic things I didn't improve at all At the moment I'm having bad games playing solo, since I've only got to plat by duoing with my friend since we really like to try random support comps with Lux as adc bot and so far it has been working for us with shaco lux (I believe we got 11 wins out of 13 within 2 days). Story short, I'm looking to really improve on Lux Mid so I'll be starting to play more games now as solo without duo and maybe you could use me for content while at the same time giving me feedback if you think it's worth the time! nice Video. Especialy considering that many Lux mains think she has poor waveclear wich is totaly not true. Lux has tremendous clear but ofc this only works if you farm well und build the right items in the first place
For a long time, I was Malzahar/Ryze d4/d3 two-trick that literally shoved waves and roamed 24x7. Here is what you need to know about this play style. You will win games with "just wave clear", but you won't get better as a player. In the best-case scenario, you will hit D4/D3 and get hard stuck more than you ever been. You will be forced to learn the game again. You will be forced to learn how to trade, to tether, to zone, while farming with autos and not dying to ganks. While you will be learning these core conceptes you will be incredibly tilted cuz you will lose lanes to random gold/plat players that "just tried to kill each other". Yes, you're forced to play with this wave clear style on some champions. Champions like Malzahar, but I'm pretty sure Lux isn't one of those and you can try to get kills in lane until you get to like D2. Because you have long-range, because you can get low cd on abilities and etc. So, it's up to you what to choose: afk wave clear and be d4 noob, learn how to kill people, and be someone who tries to go higher than d4. I suggest against this style and if you feel like you can't any differently from this on Lux, just play Orianna.
Or you can be like me, who reached plat with micro outplays, and never focusing on the wave or even looking at map, and now hard stuck due to mental block that makes me autopilot every game. It's really hard for me to not autopilot, because for 10 years I've been playing this game, that's all I ever did.
So you're telling me, as a mage, that I shouldn't focus on waves and instead look for solo kills? That feels backwards. If you're farming right you shouldn't need kills for income and most kills comes from correct wave manipulation.
I want to see you do that challenge with ekko, because I struggle to get Higher that 7 cs/minute even though ekko’s wave clear is good, i feel like there are too many that have a very high kill threat against me and its hard for me to get close and wave clear so i have to cs from Long distances trying to get the waves in using all my mana and getting ganked easily on low mana
One of the reasons I run minion dematerializer as lux. use it twice on the casters once on the melee minions and your e will one shot the casters. Super important for keeping push pressure or opening up a roam to dragon/scuttle/herald. Now before the E buff you needed to use all 3 casts on the casters, but you can achieve the same with 2 now.
So I'm a Lux support main and I have a couple of things I don't get. First of all who has 3 items at min 15, not including boots? Second of all going forward like that to freeze the wave kinda opens the enemy to attack you. Like if i did that with zed in lane, the zed would just all in me. Secondly you don't rly have enough time with shoving 1 wave i think. Thats why slowpushing exists right? To like dmg the tower more and get you more time plus more advantage vs ur opponent. What if ur against a mage who does the same thing? Sometimes just pushing the wave can result into ur opponent getting more gold. and isnt the combo e e r not e r e.
The combo is E R E because E creates an Illumination stack, R consumes it (like an auto would) and creates another, and then you auto to consume the R stack.
My understanding is that by using your ult to clear wave behind tower you are essentially doing the same thing a slow push would do. You're giving yourself almost a full minute to rotate, clear camp's, gank, and support your team.
DH is a trap. It's fun but you're gonna lack mana from not having the sorcery tree and it's a gamble if you're even going to stack it up. Comet is more reliable overall since it pretty much always hits when you land e or q so you always get the value from it.
@@chieriichi Not really. While lux's kit comet is already guaranteed to land with q and e and it does more damage than aery. You can use aery for shielding I guess but there way better champs for shield than lux, lux is more about burst and poke damage and comet plays well into that. You'd want aery with champs who have poke and shields but who's abilities don't help with landing comet. Like nami
That only farming vid idea reminds me of that time you went trynd and never attacked the enemy laner but they were still scared all the time lol In a more serious note, I can see most of these concepts applying to other champs like anivia, lissandra or even morgana, but I guess assassins should look to roam more and get gold from kills rather than farming mindlessly?

It's also not wasteful when it's cool down reaches 20seconds or less lol
