My 82 year old grandmother has the same amount of energy that you do, and had four kids and a husband she was married to for 50 years before he passed. Her only regret in their life together was that she didn’t sit down with him when he asked and just spent time with him instead of running around needing to wash dishes, or sweep the floor, or anything else to keep her busy. She still cries about it to this day, he’s been gone 14 years this March.

There are so many channels I’ve watched and instead of getting motivation and feeling empowered I was left feeling like I wasn’t good enough as a woman or mom because of the “perfect lifestyle” they lived and how they seemed to get it all done and be perfect looking all the time. She would get up 5.30am everyday and go play tennis (her fav sports) and come back 1 hour later, have a shower and breakfast and go to her class from 8.00am-11am and go do her grocery shopping and drop her stuff and go to her afternoon classes and go to uni bar or someone’s party later afternoon. And she has a part time job too. Like she was never tired and always energetic and competitive and positive. I can get half of what she s done everyday and be super exhausted and depressed. I love what you had to say about "dealing" with negative comments! It's so true to have that perspective. There's no time to have that sort of negativity in your head or your heart. The positive will always drown out the negative.

I’m glad you can inspire moms on TH-cam to just be themselves and not give in to the peer pressure put on them to make things look picture perfect. You’re hilarious and I’m so glad I found your channel.

I feel you about the negativity! Mommy life takes up so much time and your family gives you so much love (along with the headaches lol) that you don't have any time/headspace/energy for the negativity! You're always so positive and entertaining to watch. I literally put your videos on while I'm working so I can hear adult conversation during the day before I go back up to my kids. Thank you for being so relatable and open :)

Love Julie and Julia! My husband and I met in 2009. He is a chef, we love that movie SO much and watch it at least a few times a year together. He is the “butter to my bread, the breath to my life”. And we also say “bon appetite” to each other too in our Julia voices. Lol
Met my hubby in 2009, I got it right the second time around. 😊❤️My son and I were a “package deal”, he’s 20 now & in college for computer science. My hubby helped to make our son who he is today, he was 8 when we met. I look back at photos and it’s hard to believe how small he was. Time flies!! I am so grateful and blessed that he came into our lives when he did. I had given up on love at that point after a difficult divorce. He has shown me what love can truly be and we have the relationship I’ve always dreamed of.
Divorce was a difficult time for my son and I. My son and I are very close. His well being is my main focus, always has been. I’m thankful for the closeness we have, that he feels he can always come to me to talk about anything. At 20, he still amazes me with his humor and zest for life.
My mom always taught me to tighten caps when picking up anything bottled at the store. It’s been a habit of mine since childhood. I often find myself repeating things like that. 🤦‍♀️ My mom also taught me to never walk between cars (running or not) due to risk of my legs being crushed. I’m a bit neurotic about some things... There is a fine line of making your child mindful versus afraid. I often think about that, I don’t want my son living afraid of everything. I want my son to be mindful of things that could hurt him but not to the point where he doesn’t live his life happily.
Being a parent is a tough job, a thankless job, a wonderful job! I’m constantly worrying & trying to do the “right” thing.
He’s 20 now and an amazing human being if I may say so. Lol. I have done a lot right and have done a lot that I wish I did a little differently. I have done the best I can for sure. But that’s part of living , learning, and growing. I was 23 when I had him, I was still young myself. He amazes me everyday being the funny kind and amazing young adult he is.
I enjoy watching Kim so much. I have been physically disabled since 2014 and spend a lot of time at home and she makes me laugh when I need it most. ❤️

My husband and I also don’t have a lot of support. All my family lives in our same town but they are the type that don’t like babysitting. I could never ask for a date night out because I’m sure I’d get an awkward “yes” to babysitting and I hate that feeling. I’m currently working from home and my husband works out of town so it feels sooo much harder on me. Honestly this has made me consider not having anymore children. One is a lot of work, I can’t imagine how much more stressful our life would be if we had more kids. That makes me so sad to think I may not have more kids bc I need to work and don’t have a lot of childcare support from people I trust to watch my kids.

When my husband “makes dinner” it usually involves him reheating a frozen meal that I prepared ahead of time. The kids see him putting it in the oven so they assume he made it and tell him how good the dinner he made was. And he totally takes credit for it!

Ugh I can SO relate! First time mommy here, my daughter is almost a year now and I realized very quickly that fourth trimester is absolutely the hardest one! And babies are SO SO different and it's very depressing to think that babies are textbook and trying to stay on an exact schedule or doing what others have done and then when it doesn't work you feel like you're a failure as a mom and then the mom guilt starts and that's just a vicious cycle 🥺 I love your advice for new moms 💗

My mom is like you Kim, how many moms aren't, right? Never sitting still. Never catching that break. My dad is pretty much get up at 6AM, go to bed 10PM, and my mom has always been a night owl, getting laundry done, ironing done at late hours (they both had full-time jobs on top of a household and 1 child, me). My dad will sometimes remark that she needs to just take a break / breather, and he'll be glad to turn off the soccer for a TV show she'll watch and follow just so they can sit next to each other for the evening. Her and my dad have been married this year 52 years (since 1969). I can cry I think it's so precious!

I love your house even if it is small for your family but it is your house. The kids are darling and your husband seems so down to earth. And the fact that he is soooooooooo supportive of you and your job and dreams is fenomenal!! Lots of men are so consumed by their jobs and that they are the ones and only one bringing in money.
