Picking a puppy seems to be one of the main concerns of new and seasoned Boerboel buyers. I receive questions about Boerboels every day and one of the most FAQs is: "How do I pick a puppy?"

thanx so muc i wish i had watched this conetent before buying some of my dogs , i got a rotweiller and he wont even bark or do nothing , i got another boerbole and the dog just like to play a lot no gaurd instinctsm even after training , so now i am getting new puppies and the dad is aggressive and mum is gressive too so i am hoping for the best thans so much

How much is the mating prices for boerboels?sorry I had to ask. You talk about all these informative stuff but the price is just important! 😅

The mating price of a Boerboel depends on who you talk to. The standard price used to be the equivalent value of 1 puppy, if the litter was 5 puppies or more. If it was only 4 puppies or less the fee used to be 50% of the price of a puppy. Breeders nowadays charge fortunes for the semen of show show winners whilst the trick is not to use the highest awarded dog but to use the dog which would most probably correct the most things in your dog

Just visited a german boerboel breeder last weekend. I wasn´t even allowed to touch the parents! So a big NO for me.... i lived years in Southafrica and visited almost every big Boerboel breeder. Never ever made such an experience.

The most important thing in breeding is genetics. I might not like the dog but I could use him to add some genetic traits to my dogs. To recognise that what you have in your kennel might not be perfect, is the first step towards purpose driven breeding.
