When John Denver performed this, he did it with the guitar he learned on. When I perform it, I also do it with an heirloom guitar, but I sing about everything music has done for me. Yes, my wife found it very attractive early on when I sang. There's a reason that's the most popular reason to learn the guitar/how to sing! John Denver was a quiet master, humble and heartfelt. This song is a magnum opus to singing with simplistic soul and it absolutely stands the test of time.
