I may own nearly every product you produce but I have to say I really enjoy the overnight camping scenes the most! In turbulent times for Americans I Thank YOU for the great videos of trips in the backcountry to keep us from losing sight of our passions.
That's true. A lot of YT hosts do that here. Setup the camera then walk or drive by, then have to double back to retrieve the camera. They cover the same steps several times just for one shot. I call that devotion to their viewers. 😎😁. It takes a lot of time and effort on their parts. 😎😁
Looks like my pack. My family likes the outdoors, but in no means, love it. I often have to carry alot of extra glamping gears, food, and snacks for them to enjoy a natural beauty of a hike. Last year we've invited other families to join us, half way thru, we were starting to lose people. I planned the trip so i had to go make sure everybody was ok, my bil who was behind me asked to carry my bag to they can slowly keep going. I took off my pack, handed to him, it immediately dropped to the ground. He exclaimed, "what the heck do you have in here? Second thought, we'll just take a break til you get back." It's so hard to bring family and friends to go with you who can go the distance and understand that weather isnt always what it appears to be. So glad you're able to pack and go where ever you please. Keep it up.
Josh Murphy yeah we’ve got them. And my Great Dane Cupcake sleeps with me in the bag when we go backpacking. I usually only zip the lower 3rd of the bag and she curls up next to me while covered with the upper part. Half the time I wake up and we are spooning...lol My wife complains that I hold the dog more than her...;)
This is my favorite lake to fish. I took my nephews there a few years ago and got altitude sickness. I went back down and found out a boy scout died of altitude sickness the same day in the Uintas. Thanks for the video.
I truly enjoy vicariously reliving earlier times in my life when I was in a position to do this type of mountain camping. Thanks for sharing. BTW, I’ve bought your kitchen kit. A bit of motivation.
those 60v dewalt chainsaws make fantastic little truck saws, no bad fuel/carb/elevation to worry about, you can charge the battery off a 12v inverter if you need to
Steve, you might want to add a bellows to your kit to blow on the coals...least your beard becomes tinder! 😅😂 Ashley sleeping on the rocks...snoring 💤 🤣
I have a question..request..i know we have all watched you a million times and I'm probably the only person that can't do it but could you please in one of your fishing videos PLEASE do a slow tutorial on how you remove the bones!! You make it look so easy. I tried and was stabbed in the mouth by small bones I didn't get. Ok..it wasn't a trout..we don't have them here except at grocery. But a fish is a fish I guess...so your method should work. I don't eat alot of fresh fish because I was never properly taught to remove bones. I LOVE FISH. Thank you. I know it's kinda a dumb request.
What happened to the goats? they could have carried your other gear so that the kayak wouldn't be so much, wow adding another 26lbs from that kayak is crazy. Was it worth it to bring with you? Maybe an alpacka raft might have been better. those can go down to about 4 lbs. Great video
They will be back for sure, they don't click well with the family and stay home on some trips but we will be back with them soon. Thanks for watching Danny!
What elevation are you at lugging your gear? Those pack horses bowed their heads to you Steve. I draw a elk tag I'll drop you a line for my pack mule.😁 Nice video again. Take care.🇺🇸
I'm too excited not to share. I just bought a whole bunch of Firebox stuff I'm super pumped to get cooking the firebox way! Thanks for all your work Steve!
Gosh what a great Life!! If I werent handicapped I'd say wish I could go like this! You & dogs are adorable! Thanks for sharing so we can all enjoy the some of good life through your video!!
Your bone removal method for your trout is top shelf. That hash browns and trout meal is still my favorite as well. I like to brown my potatoes on one side then turn them, before adding the fish on top. Great video Steve. Glad you have the health to make those strenuous back country hikes to those beautiful lakes. Your limber knees and back remind me of the good old days! All the best.
Thank you for the comment, I am lucky to be able to get around the way I do. The goats help now with packing part of the weight. Trout and hash browns will always be my favorite I think.
Thanks for wonderful video. always wonderful life is looking with two dogs and two goats,it's clever animals and around view is fantastic. I love animals .I had cat name is Milk but passed away two years ago.
Have not seen this oldie but goodie excellent camera work following Juni and Ash! The good old days thanks for sharing ( good job driving on the rocks )
I love to see you fly fishing and using the landing net/wetting your hands for a quick picture of the fish. Your catch and release of trout has improved greatly! Thanks for that. Love your videos.
I love that boat, having a cup of coffee sitting on a rock and looking at the lake, priceless.
The horse pack was a nice treat. Nice that both parties were considerate and polite

Thank you for watching Richard, we are so glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for all the effort you put into showing us how you get there. Just be a pain doing a drive by and coming back for camera.👍👍👍👍
Certainly makes things take a little longer but it's all part of the adventure right 👍
@@fireboxstove I appreciate the little details as well. It tells the full story that way. Thank you!
