Wonderful engine, as long as outboards get more HP, better and faster boats will be made. @shingnosis is totally right, I believe heavy boats should go with inboard diesels . New materials and smart design ensure safety with much less weight. Can't wait to see a pair of those 450R on a Technohull Sea DNA 999 that is only 2000Kg..
That would indeed be a lovely combo! The boat show should also travel to Norway and test all the Goldfish ribs, expensive but great quality ribs. You can get the new 28 Bullet with a single 450R and with that engine you can cruise at around 1L/NM and also have a top speed close to 70 knots. That kind of speed and efficiency in a 28 hull is the future I believe.
@@shingnosisThe 28 Bullet is a wonderful boat, will do a great combo indeed! Consumption should be a big factor when choosing a boat, it's not only about the cost but also about range. A 300 liter tank can take you 300 miles away with your example. I would like to see that test too
When I was a kid, an engine that size was an 85 HP, just blows me away the engines today.
Love Italy and the Boat Show

Sounds like a GE90 on a 777 at takeoff
Do you think this can push my 14 foot John boat or is it too small
Its a bit small. I’d consider you get 4.
No effect special please. More distracting.

The boatA must be heavy...
1350 hp and not even 60 knots. Americans and their heavy hulls...
352 Wellcraft is junk
Hmmm, well a 37 Contender runs 62 knots with 300 less hp.
Boat is not made for speed. Engines are made for speed.
We have the first 36 Yellowfin with trip 450r’s with 13 people on it it has went 83.5 mph
primo
$64,000 each What the fuck !
i wouldnt buy another merc
yam or honda, nothing else
To bad This gentleman dont speak English
An American made engine.......no thanks. You would spend most of the season out of the water whilst repairs are being made.
And what would put on it, a diesel stern drive ?
ODDJOB Not very good at statistics I see.
