I used measurements 10 x 11 inches for inside and outside fabric. I kept the same 8 x 10 measurement for the interfacing. I installed the 8 inch zipper with 1/4 inch seam allowance. I sewed the side French seams with 1/2 inch seam allowance and trimmed the excess fabric to prevent bulk inside the bag. It came out perfect as a Christmas gift for my son’s kindergarten teacher.

I love this design. Do you have a suggestion for adding a pull tab on the side? Sew it in the first side seam or in the second side seam?
I recommend sewing on the first side seam.

Is the zipper placed on the 25 cm side , the shorter side? The fabric is almost a square so it’s hard for me to see if the zipper is on 25 cm side or 27 cm side.
I like that this folds down flat when empty. Great for travel.

I just made this and my bag came out smaller than the amount of fabric I used and there are extra zipper inches on the inside of the pouch. So, I messed up somewhere. I like the bottom corners in that they are sewn in instead of having to actually sew them into the bottom of the pouch. Still it's my second zipper project, I am still pleased with myself.

Can someone explain what it means in inches 10.8, how do I find this on a ruler in inches? I don't use centimeters, so it's kinda hard to understand please.
I would use 10 3/4 inches (10.75 inches). This is very close to 10.8 inches. If you can find 3/4 inches on your ruler, then finding 10 3/4 inches should be doable. When converted to centimeters these values are very close to 27 centimeters. Anytime you see measurements in centimeters, you can google “covert number to inches.” Then you can look at your ruler and choose a number that is close to the value you found when googling. I hope this helps!

La première piqûre à la machine part du bout du tissus …. À la fin de la piqûre on voit 1 cm de chaque côté non piqué… alors ?
