I really hope younger generations continue to discover Pierre Burton. I remember in particular reading his extended essay The Klondike Quest, which is published in large format with accompanying photographs that are breathtaking. Burton really conveyed the details of everyday life in those extraordinary & harrowing times.

A real shame what became of his beloved estate.

I am sure he would be heartbroken to see his beloved family home completely vandalized and overgrown. Over the years Mr Berton must have invested a fortune in the house and grounds.

I enjoyed this. A real blast from the past. I grew up seeing him on Front Page Challenge, but knew nothing about him. Fascinating character.

“Some of the historians say its too easy, its too slick, here you’ve got this filing system.(indicating a bunch of papers with notes)…” Wow….1981 could be very funny!

Other than Eric Malling asking too many irrelevant questions about Pierre’s finances, this was a good documentary.

Berton's writing techniques were "too slick"? That's stone aged writing compared to how it is today.

And today's will be laughable 40 yrs from now.
