I can answer some questions about the nature of the diesel conversion done here. 1. Nothing underhood needs to be cut or rebuilt to fit the engine really. The engine bay is long enough to fit a Cummins 6 from a Dodge. 2. Cutting and fab work was needed for this setup due to using an intercooler. Had there been none the swap would have been easier with minimal fab work. 3. No worries on blowing the engine up. It's a built 12 valve that can handle the boost from the twin turbos. At least the rebuild seems to be. No telling for sure as I do not know what was used to build the rotating assembly. Some built diesels make 100 psi or better boost daily and last ages. 4. The value is priceless as a custom conversion build like this has more time than money in it and you can't really put a price on that unless you are willing to pay 6 figures.
It’s surreal watching this. That’s my truck!!!! I have a ‘69 Crew Cab. Your new color is my old worn out color. Your build is 10x more than mine is going to be. Thanks for making this. I’m more than a fan commenting on your build, I’m stealing all your ideas!!
Very nice! I have the same truck only totally stock. Swapping 390s in the spring and have a 2 yard dump box in the bed for my minihoe service. Great job on your truck!!
Awesome build.....I particularly liked the welding. Beautiful colour, nice stance.Very neat and tidy. Welding is a very difficult part of the build, it's time consuming to get it all so neat. A very very nice build. I enjoyed this video a lot. You must be very pleased?.....Thank you very much for sharing this with us all.
This is a dream come true! I just came across your TH-cam channel and I almost cried! I’ve got a 1978 Ford F-250 4x4 300 industrial 6 4spd crew cab , all original and have dreamed of installing a cummins in the old girl! My current truck is a 1997 f350 7.3 turbo 5 spd crew . Which cummins would fit in my ol ‘78? Living in western Canada it would far to expensive to haul her down to good ol boys to install one ! Thanks guys love your channel!
I'm very impressed with this truck very well put together very well thought out. I have a 69 Ford F-350 dually flat bed I've been wanting to restore it & put a older 24valve & put a P pump injection pump on it. Thank you for this awesome video you have gave me so inspiration on what to do to my truck!! I think that you have done without a doubt an amazing job & built one badass truck!!👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice build! As a fellow Utahn I Would love to see this truck one day in person! looks like West of salt lake Just guessing by the mountains looks like Tooele or Grantsville.
love these old ford trucks, i have 2 of them, the first is a 1976 crewcab truck, that needs a total restoration, wish i had the money and time to get started on it, my second truck is a 1984 ford xl extended cab short bed truck, with the h.o. 351w 4 barrel engine, they don't make them solid like these trucks any more
What an awesome build!!! Compound turbos, custom built bumpers, everything is just straight up bad ass!! Completely awesome! Ever consider building a 6dr obs?
Thanks for the video. When there is not grill on this truck - glance at it from the side...it looks like a shark mouth open. It would be interesting to see what other custom front ends people could dream up for these trucks. But not this one..its perfect. "Ride more Bullitt cargos!" Happy New Year everyone!
I would love to have a refresh like this, just full on re weld, re frame, rebuild engine trans, difs, repaint everything, just make it factory again. Except ya know for the little things like the lift.
Superb job, this the best video I've ever seen so far! I kind of follow-through each step of building right from the ground up. Anybody who is a mechanical mind would understand how it is being made and what is the end result. Most of this kind of videos only have a long narrative and does not show how each piece of components is constructed and put it together like yours. Then ended boring. It would be better if you can put that truck on roadtest,
How do you even put a price on something like this? Very very very well put together. Mind boggling on the detail put into this build. No less than $100,000 for something like this. And if they offer anything less, send them on their way. God bless
Only thing different is I would of went with original color. One sweet truck and wish that I would of done it with my own 72 ford 4x4. Mine was a half ton heavy duty with the 390 and 4 speed. I hated the married transfer case but I still drove that truck for miles. I got to see the odometer turn over four times on two engines and transmissions, at the last, the rear ends were worn out so I bought a one ton 95 dually five speed 7.3 and I put three hundred plus on i and because it still looked new traded it for a explorer cause I'm crippled and can't maintain one. The explorer was two years old with few miles and looks new yet but it doesn't get driven.
overall nice truck but rims and tires in my opinion are too small and the side view mirrors dont match with the truck at all i think they should have with side view mirrors from the era
Super nice Ford, I like everything except one small detail - I'd have eliminated the vent windows as the mirror mounting plates block them off and make them non-functional.
Matt Farah's Million Mile Lexus I agree with you about the vent windows they should've just eliminated them But they still can open & get some wind in the cab of the truck they still function just have a little bit of a blockage in the way. It's a beautiful truck.
I love that he actually uses the truck. Not like a lot of people that show it and never dare pull something with it. Love this build
Great slide show.. Excellent looking project. Please do a live road test and post it. I would love to hear her roar.

Best truck you could have ever done love those late 70s fords that is the way should look like
Dude you killed it on this build. Bad ass rig. Compounds really help make it special too.

the passion on this truck is great lot of work ,,, i don´t understand why 19 dislikes.. guess is a chevy owners cry huh
This is probably a rare truck
winglesschip 209 it is back then mostly single cabs were only used so a longbed crew cab is something rare especially if it were a dually
Duhhhhhhhh ... hit yourself in the face right now
That isn’t the same as on the trailer, that was 2 wheel drive. Have to lift to look like 72 4x4 as they were tall
I'm very impressed with this truck very well put together very well thought out. The only thing different id do is different wheels. But man I want that truck. So badly
I would love to have a refresh like this, just full on re weld, re frame, rebuild engine trans, difs, repaint everything, just make it factory again. Except ya know for the little things like the lift.
If Ford had done this In 1970 dodge wouldn't exist today.
I was really hoping they would paint match the mirrors but oh well nice 70k build I like it

Congratulations form Madrid, Spain. Good job
That is. My dream truck

it all looks great but those big tall lift blocks

That twin turbo setup was really cool. Did overboost cause the engine and transmission to grenade? How loud is it?
Show off lol nice job
Nice yota
Esa camioneta es hermosa :,)
Nice truck, great fab and welding skills but a Cummins?
What all did you need to cut in the engine bay to have the 12v fit correctly?
How much would you sell it if you was to? That's a bad ass truck build.
Very very very nice thank you 👍👍👍👍.
Great job
build a 66 chevy truck next
Now we're talkin

The plastic moulding that separates the front and rear headliners, did you paint the original or make a new one?
Es una pickup con motor diesel con turbo e intercooler
overall nice truck but rims and tires in my opinion are too small and the side view mirrors dont match with the truck at all i think they should have with side view mirrors from the era
