Yuri tapped once after a minute of neck cranking and being smothered for air, those air chokes don't leave you with any gas to fight back so he was finished. His tap was very deliberate and he layed down afterwards.

3 tap isn't really how it works. If you look like you tap but they're not sure and you're fighting back they won't stop it. If you tap and lay down like a dead fish, they'll stop it.
