Got the same shed 8 x 10 but my latches are spring loaded. Seems that Lifetime is continually tweaking their shed designs.

Any hack to keep the top pin from falling... My 8 x 10 is a little different I have a second set of doors on the side, same latches though. Both pins do not have enough resistance to hold up in the locked position. Wind blows bounces the doors around and well gravity takes care of the rest. I temporarily put a tie wrap around one of them this holding that door locked ... Always thought it was a foolish design. Like the no bend hack though, getting too old for that shit...lol.

      If it were me:
The tops of bifold closet doors use a vertical spring and horizontal roller part to keep the end of the door riding in the track. I might look into using a small section of small diameter copper pipe (with a cap soldered on one end...drill a drain hole in the center of the cap....) mounted to the shed door under the top latch to hold the bifold door spring in compression so the roller contacts the underside of the pin assembly, forcing it upward.
Or more simply and probably more effective: I might just remove the top door latch entirely and replace it with a standard cheap medium to large sized barrel bolt.
