Yosemite Winter Snow Storm Adventure | Tarp Day Camp

- I've found that if you want to escape the crowds, the best time to come and experience Yosemite is during a storm. Not only will you feel that you have the place to yourself but it's also mind blowinggly stunning.
In this video, I hike by the river and find a nice secluded spot to put up the tarp (I still need some major practice with this, lol) and enjoy the passing storm. What a blast!

I am slowly running out of superlatives to describe the scenery that every one shows in their videos'.
I think we may have been in Yosemite the week or so before you. A huge storm was on it's way the week after we left. Beautifully put together. The white and snow scattered among the huge sequoias. Looks like a nice moment to reflect on things and enjoy a good cup of tea. Those trees have secrets they have kept for years and years...magnificent place.

There is nothing more serene than snow falling in Yosemite Valley. It muffles all the traffic noise and you can imagine what it was like before it became such a popular destination. Winter is the only time I'll go to the valley now. Have you been up to the high country yet? Tuolumne Meadows is pretty spectacular in early summer. Tons of trails to hike and definitely not as crowded. Beautiful video Alex!
Maryann Hazel I agree, I’ve been there in the Summer and it’s like Disney Land, lol.
I’ve driven past Tuolumne Meadows but I haven’t hiked or camped up there. Sounds like the best time to go is now but with all this quarantine stuff going on it will have to wait:-/

Excellent video. The beautiful scenes and the sounds of winter does it for me b/c like many who watch for the experience - not listen a bunch of empty chatter. Some are ok, but many are over the top being too much of a distraction from the surrounding beauty. Thanks for yor vid. I'm subscribing.

Stunning. There's something special about snow early in the season when it begins to stick. You get the fall and winter blended together. Also, great choice of music. The cinematography of your videos is so on point!

Nice video! This was really movie quality. Its really brave of you to go camping there in light of the many missing 411 victims that seemed to vanish unexplainablely during any kind of wet weather. Historically the natives were cautious of the “supernatural” in that land. Yosemite means “those who kill” .
